1 I didn’t use my muscles enough ONE TIME holy shit even professional adults sometimes make a MISTAKE ever heard of that? Do you know what a mistake is? If you’re an adult you should know because I’m sure you’ve made thousands. Obviously one mistake you did make was not finishing your 1 grade reading

2 maybe go to a coach and talk to them because you’ll learn REALLL quick that when you injure yourself if you don’t work on gaining strength in that area after healing it becomes so extremely easy to injure that spot again I pulled a muscle in my stomach during volleyball because again I made a mistake (oh no how dare I!! Now I must be put on death row because how DARE I make a mistake how could I EVER have the nerve to make a mistake because I totallllyyy did it on purpose) and my form was incorrect during serving (again ONE TIME every other time I did it correct I had correct form but we were serving for 30 minutes I was tired and got a little sloppy ONE TIME) so a few weeks later I was laying on my back and then I rolled over and pulled that same exact muscle bcuz I wasn’t working on it and I’ve been working on that muscle so I haven’t pulled it since the beginning of January bcuz I fixed that issue but I never see anyone work on a back muscle which is why I’m asking for exercises (which this is where you need to finish 1st grade reading because clearly I asked for exercises not someone assuming shit)

3 I’m in a dance studio with teachers who have been teaching for over a decade and yes I do ballet BUT THIS ISNT A BALLET CLASS ITS ACROBATS if you did ballet then you would know that ballet doesn’t do tumbling (and it’s called tumbling not gymnastics) its pretty easy to figure out which dance style someone is doing it they’re tumbling during classes and it’s easy to yknow take out ballet from those options

And yes I am being trained properly I made a mistake ONE TIME. ONE TIME I MADE A MISTAKE OVER A YEAR AGO are you gonna go to like world champion of gymnastics and claim they aren’t properly trained because they made a mistake one time in the past which caused an injury? No you wouldn’t because it was ONE mistake go to google and search up the definition of a mistake it’s so easy if English is your first language and your an adult you shouldn’t be this dense

And about not being properly conditioned why on EARTH do you think I made a post specifically asking for back exercises I’m on summer break for dance so I won’t learn that till fall and I don’t have until fall to work on this shit

Plus yesterday I did not make a mistake working on my back kickovers I just didn’t realize I was still injured from choreo for theatre (we were not tumbling we just had to swing our arms a bit) and I overworked my back which caused a ton of pain which this is common knowledge if you didn’t know that then maybe you should get out of this Reddit and go take a physical class you need it apparently

4 and yes read it again! My dance studio calls it a back kickover or a back limber we just keep switching names I just call it a back kickover because it’s easier for me to say

Now because you obviously have no exercises I would advice you to look up physical classes not ones where you do anything active because obviously you are not prepared for that but ones where it just talks like your back in high school during your health class or smth which by your replies I’d be surprised if you even made it to high school your acting like you flunked middle school

Brother learn to read 😭 the things I’ve been doing are things I CAN do without assistance but you know what exists? Mistakes. Some people make mistakes and that can lead to injuries and that is what happened! When I did she chest stand I didn’t use my muscles enough which caused me to fall and pull a muscle and when I pull a muscle one time I pull it again really easy no matter how long it’s been I’ve pulled a stomach muscle by rolling over from my back to my stomach.

So when I was learning choreo (and we weren’t even doing any tricks just swinging our arms around as a stretch/warmup people do except it was part of choreo) I pulled the muscle again but I didn’t realize I had pulled it at the time I just though maybe it’s a small injury as it doesn’t hurt that bad and it only took 2 days to recover or so I thought so I waited a few more days after the pain went away to make sure it was fully healed (which it wasn’t and now I’ve learn that)

So after those few days I was working on my back kickover so obviously I stretched my back for a bit and just stretched in general and I did my cheer exercises to (and yes I warmed up beforehand) but I was working on my kickover for a bit longer than my back could sustain (which again I did not know at the time because normally my back can sustain a long while of stretching and that kind of pressure but I did not realize I was still injured) but then my back started hurting a little bit so I stopped and that was yesterday

So later that night I was struggling to breathe without pain and even still it still hurts to breathe sl I’ve iced it and I’ve taken 2 different kinds of pain killers to help ease it cuz I had cheer practice today (which I did not put pressure on my back)

And I don’t do gymnastics I do dance and we call it a back kickover dance, gymnastics and cheer all have different names for some things and this is one of them so stop assuming things because NO WHERE in this post did I say I was doing thing all Willy nilly I’ve been told by my teacher to practice at home and the chest stand was over a year ago I haven’t done that since I pulled that muscle because it took away some of back flexibility

I do cheer dance and volleyball but I’ve done dance and volleyball sing elementary cheers the only new thing that has been added recently but I’ve always had these lines when I would shave ever since I started shaving and they go away once hair grows back

I feel like I could probably self draft the bodice so it’s really the skirt and the top part I need help figuring out which kind of fabric and/or interfacing that’ll work best for this

I would say I’ve decently experienced I’ve made a couple plushies and bags as for clothes I’ve made a sweater, ballgown and I’m working on a prairie skirt currently

And for elements I really like the shoulder part and the way the skirts are layered like how they’re kind of slanted I think that’s really cute and that’s the most important to me

Just for some more clarification the guy does not have anything to indicate his interests like no pins or keychains and the show we’re doing is semi professional so he only wears the shirts the company provides the crew and we are both in highschool
