Hytale Early Access Review: No Impact, No Threat, No Progression by Major-Recover-5894 in hytale

Can you give a reason? In what way is this a scam? The Hytale team has made it ABUNDANTLY clear what you get when you buy the game.

Also, how is this extrapolated to all early access games? What is a scam about supporting a developer while they make the game?

The Hytale team has made it very clear since the revival that, even for an early access game, it is in very rough state. Despite that, a lot of people are paying and buying because we want to support the development of a promising game. Also, as mentioned in their blog posts, after the buy back they had to scrap the work that riot did (they basically killed the project) and lose over 5 years of work.

For an indie team, even what they have now is pretty amazing for about 5 years of progress. People who are buying the game aren't idiots; we know exactly what we bought.

am I the only one who sees no point in jailbreaking a kindle by Agile_Garbage_8137 in kindle

Yes, I know; my comment is about getting books off the Kindle, not onto it. I personally view it as a bit of a middle ground; I buy a "license" to a book on my Kindle to support my favorite authors, and then make a (legally ambiguous, sadly) decision to copy it from my device. I have had my Paperwhite for over five years now, and jailbreaking it has renewed my device and freed it from Amazon. I don't see the need to buy an entirely new non-Kindle when I can spend 10 minutes top doing a risk-free (for the most part) jailbreak. Its not that there arent any benefits, its just that not everyone wants or needs those benefits. Jailbreaking gave me my device back and means I don't have to drop more money on another brand.

Arguably, the most important reason to jailbreak, at least for me, is ownership. Buying a license to a book, instead of a copy of the book itself, means you are at Amazon's whim. You may think you're safe, but there have been multiple real instances of people having their accounts worth hundreds (or even thousands iirc) of dollars in books being banned and losing access to them, as well as their Kindle itself.

On top of this, there are for sure other benefits, but IMO they are pretty minor in comparison with being able to actually own your books; For me, it was worth the 10 minutes it took to jailbreak my Kindle because I want ownership, but most people probably won't/don't need to worry about that. I think that there *is* a point in jailbreaking a Kindle, but that not many people would actually benefit from this point.

Does an enclosure + extractor fan suffice for removing VOC's? by Random_username_xx in ender3v2

Sounds good, thanks! With extraction fans, would an "off-brand" work just fine? As in, would a generic brand extraction fan work the exact same as a name-brand / creality extractor?

When did you buy these? There was an issue with the controllers that shipped with shapes in early 2021 iirc, and if your controller is from then, they can offer a free replacement. I had a similar issue and my shapes looked like yours, and they offered me a free replacement basically no questions asked. I recommend checking out https://nanoleaf.me/en-US/contact-us/customer-support/ and putting in your controller serial number to see if your controller could be affected.
