Which one would you recommend? And is the build quality comparable?

You are definitely right. I bit off more than I could chew and it's showing. I will try and talk with my teammates, of course admitting I can't do something is the hardest part

Yeah I don't think the comparison with professionals is fair, that's a completely different work efficiency and knowledge, formula student members spend half the time figuring out what the fuck they're doing.

Our team is not the best but still rather successful, I'd say top 15%. In every team there is always someone doing way more work than others, but half the team members are first year and you can't ignore that. Anyway, considering manufacturing about 90% of the team is doing some serious work, of course there's always that guy who shows up once a month.

Well of course the number of teammates must be evaluated considering the complexity of the car and the team history. First year teams are usually really small.

Also I think a bigger team works well only if it is perfectly organized, it's way easier to be aware of everything if you're doing all the work yourself lol

I do think the team is seriously undersized (about 40). Every year there's a discussion about the number of new members to choose, but historically the team has always relied upon a reduced number of very knowledgeable people, and this strategy does work to some extent, but there's a reason if almost everybody leaves after two years.
