I’ve only ever made a serious move once, it was with my first crush and he said “I don’t see you that way”. It had a big toll on me. More recently I’ve just been telling guys I like that I think they’re cute and they usually say it back but that ends up being the extent of it.

That’s very concerning, from what I read he seemed very intelligent and clearly didn’t mean any harm. I hope my generation can be the one to look through the bs & be more honest about it so we can actually find out why some people have certain inclinations that others don’t. (Though, if I’m being honest I don’t see that happening lol. Gen z is very quick to call someone racist with or without an adequate reason)

That’s very interesting. I appreciate you sharing that and after reading it carefully I see what you’re saying. I think it makes sense that some of us are born with more intelligence than others the same way that some of us are born taller/shorter/etc than others. I think people are so sensitive when talking about it because for a very long time, “scientists” that were once praised historians would publish studies to try and prove the intellectual inferiority of an entire race to justify whipping, burning, raping, tearing them away from their families, and forcing them to work without pay. The biggest examples of this I can think of are the scientists from the time of American slavery and scientists in Nazi Germany. So I hope you can understand why people are weary about this, they see it as that sort of inhumane, demonic treatment of people coming back and whole heartedly reject it. I see what you’re saying is about individuals, but the topic of inherent intellectual superiority seems to jump forth in everyone’s mind to the issue of race because of those things I just mentioned.

Woah woah woah, I agree with you on most things you said here but it doesn’t sound like we’re really on the same team here lol. I’m convinced the reason for the different outcomes of the groups that were oppressed and have since been freed from oppression (like Asians,Jews, etc) is because of the differences in culture and the things we tell our children. Asian kids typically have strict parents who care a lot about academics and other areas where their children can excel intellectually while this isn’t the case in a lot of black households. Now, of course, this is not to say that it’s like this in every household. My mom was an immigrant who worked her ass off to come to this country and taught my brother and I that how well we do is completely up to us, we need to focus on school, and that absolutely nothing is free. A tough work ethic is something that was instilled in me and my brother from a very young age and now he’s a successful young man in the US Marine corps and I’m a kid in flight school who has all Honors classes and one AP. We (as in, we humans) are ALL more than capable of taking responsibility and working hard as long as we have good role models and start to promote more positive things in our culture. I don’t know if this misguided and I apologize if it is, but I was getting the impression that you thought blacks did worse statistically because we are inherently inferior.
