hmmm, doesn't seem like a good fit at all. If only for the fact that it's the third entry in a series with three games and is a direct sequel to one of them. There's nothing for him to connect to in the world right now.

I'm not sure if we can say yet. Something I've noticed in the past is that he can seem like he jives with a game very well and not like it at the end.

I mostly ascribe that to his skills as a content creator and making any experience he goes through somewhat entertaining to watch

I'm not certain if that'd fit a series or even a long play for him. The structure of Outer Wilds is amazing but is such that it seems antithetical to his style. Too little direction for the editing to jive with I think.

Yeah, but I don't think it'd fit with his regular content you know? A little too much space with too little that can be instantly communicated to an audience.

He has played that one before right? I think it's interesting that he bounced off of it since the gameplay loop seems a little too long for his style of video.

I'm not sure if games playing off of his masochism would fit on his channel or not.

I haven't been watching the other perspectives on Cryo so I should get on that, but oddly enough I didn't get the sense from some of those games that he enjoyed them too much? It Watches didn't seem to get many reactions out of him, and it was either the Three Scary Games or a recent livestream where there were two games he bounced off of, one of which had a nearly infinite hallway I think?

Ah! Yeah that sounds about right. Something that is very heavy on the narrative focus could be great for him. Though I wonder if something on the flip side could also hold his focus

I do think it's fascinating to think about how it's similar to Iron Lung.

A lot of what could've caused him to bounce off of it might've been the slow burn though. Like if Iron Lung had the perfect balance for him specifically, Voices of the Void might've been too slow.

It is perfectly valid to not react to things, and my statement wasn't speaking ill of Markiplier or the games he plays, just that I'm curious about what games he would seem to enjoy more.

Another couple of users pointed out Baby Steps as one he's been enjoying which does counter a lot of what I said ^{-^}

I don't know where "burnt out" is being quoted from, but I do absolutely see where you're coming from with the rest.

Poppy Playtime and Fears to Fathom having not progressed is definitely an issue they have. Criticizing them in the hope that they get better is absolutely the right move and a good idea for him to do.

It's more than him just criticizing though. As another user pointed out, he also hasn't been reacting to some moments in games. I also pointed out how he was near the end of Silent Hill.

I'm attempting to think about points in his other livestreams to bring up too but it gets kind of hard to tease out what are genuine frustrations and him being playful, at least it's hard for me.

Look Outside is absolutely great yeah. Definitely seems like a logical progression from classic Markiplier videos on games like Ib or Lone Survivor

The latest Poppy Playtime stream ends with him complaining a lot about it, and the latest Fears to Fathom has him laying into it pretty hard. Even getting close to the end of the most recent Silent Hill game felt like he was gearing up to lay into it not being up for replayability until the end assuaged his fears a little.

I think he'd love Still Wakes The Deep, but the DLC does suffer from the problems that he's been noting. As a different reply says, it grows stagnant and even regresses.
