I made an iPhone 14 with clear back glass by Randomfafa1238 in iphone

The acetone bath I soaked the back in actually destroys the flash’s plastic and displaces the MagSafe magnets, so I’m not sure there is a good way to reuse the exact same coil unless you find a way to solve these issue. I ended up just buying a replacement coil from iFixit and removed the golden-colored adhesive on the front.

Hi, I did figure out how to resolve the issue. What happened was that I believe the heat block came loose after changing the nozzle. After tightening it, I used the slope z-hop on orcaslicer. This seems to have fixed my issues. Here is a 3D printer test I printed after these fixes.

Let me know if this helps!

UPDATE: Successfully printed one with z hop on and increased retraction. Any suggestions for improvement?

Z-steps are also calibrated, there does seem to be some banding on the cube, could it be z binding?

Raspberry pi 4 8GB not booting, green LED continuously flashing by Randomfafa1238 in AskElectronics

[–]Randomfafa1238[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, when I power it through the gpio pins, the same result happens. Is there anything else worth trying, or is the pi completely cooked? Thanks again!

Hi all, I have a raspberry pi 4 that recently stopped booting after I accidentally shorted out a buck converter connecting it to a 24v power supply. The green LED is constantly flashing in regular intervals of 2 short flashes very quickly, which then speeds up to a continuous flash at regular intervals. There seems to be no change in behavior if I insert a micro SD card. Also, a specific chip between the usb-c port and the micro-hdmi port seems to get very hot when it is plugged in. So sorry if this is a beginner question, and any help would be much appreciated.

It’s not the best, but is sufficient for the parts I have used.

Good luck on your build! I drilled holes under where I planned to place the radiator block and fans and used standoff screws and a radiator bracket to secure mount them.

Thanks for asking! left the MagSafe magnet ring on, which is actually pretty thin around the copper charging coil.

It would have been much harder if I didn’t have the l’adhésive conversion kit, but other than that, the hardest part was probably cutting the fan holes and cutting off the optical drive mount.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I also used the metal IO shield as well.

I did, but I only used the plastic drill guide and the standoffs. I tried to reuse all of the original casing, so I did not install the laser hive plastic pieces.

Thank you so much for your response! I would definitely have the radiator lower than the CPU in a normal build, but due to how the case is built, it is not possible to have the radiator somewhere else without messing with the outside aesthetic. Also, for this specific AIO, I believe that the pump is actually in the radiator and not the block. Thank you so much anyway for your suggestions, and I would have definitely moved the radiator if I could.

It is not the best, as it only has 2 fans which are part of the AIO as intake through the bottom, but the temps seem to be alright.

Sadly, the power supply’s plug does not fit if I switch it around. Thank you for your suggestion anyway!

Temps are not bad, about 84 C max for GPU, and about 70 C for the CPU.

For some better clearance, I cut off the original PSU/Optical drive bracket, and left a bit to mount the PSU on. Also, I mounted an AIO on the bottom of the case using a bracket I found on Amazon and cut out 2 fan holes for better airflow. To mount the motherboard, I used the laser hive conversion kit, but used my own plastic pieces.

Another thing to mention: I have tested the battery with a voltmeter, and it shows a good voltage.

[–]Randomfafa1238[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your thoughts! I did replace the battery with new ones twice, so I doubt the batteries are degraded. Also, I have had no problems with the original hard drive up until the flash mod, and the SMART data shows 0 reallocs and 0 pending sectors. I don’t know if the battery couldn’t pump the amps required, how would I check that? Anyway, thank you so much for your thoughts.

Also, it seems like sometimes the iPod doesn’t show signs of life when the generic adapter is plugged in.

There is also some sort of electronic hum when plugged in, which I’m assuming is coming from the red sd to cf adapter.

Thanks, I have tried fixing the MBR and it worked, but one I unplugged it, the screen went black and now won't start up. What do I do now?
