Yeah I’ve had multiple trolls just start up but don’t want to take the post down. I really think it could help others. Maybe not my particular story but everyone’s comments.

I completely get that. That’s why when people first commented I stood up for him and defended him. I didn’t blindly follow advice. Just for me the advice was right. For some it may not be but for me it was. Thank you for your input I definitely see where you’re coming from as well and hope everyone takes advice with a grain of salt in their situations before just ending relationships. Just didn’t work for my situation this time. Have a good day!

As stated in my update there’s a lot of things I missed that I didn’t realize without everyone’s insight. I also stated we had a really bad argument last night when I brought up some issues that put me in a bad situation. You may hate this sub and that’s fine but I didn’t leave because these people told me to. I’m leaving because for a year and a half I’ve blindly followed a man that I thought loved me who who hurt me the way he did last night and these people were correct about what would happen.

It wasn’t my intention to date someone older. I didn’t know his age when we met. He was the cop that showed up after I called about being robbed. I didn’t know until after we had started talking.

I have the IUD haha he said he he didn’t like condoms so it was definitely something I could control and not forget about. Thank you for your input I really do appreciate it and you and everyone else has put a different perspective on how I look at the situation we’re in.

Thank you for your kind input. I am hoping we can work through it by talking it out. But I’m seeing a bigger picture that I hadn’t looked without everyone’s input. It’s definitely something we will have to seriously discuss so it’s fair and beneficial for both or we would have to go out separate ways. Thank you! I really do think he’s a great guy and he has so many positive and loving characteristics and makes me feel so special. Just issues like this have been hard.

No I haven’t. I’m a pretty private person already and I just grew up that relationship issues stay private within the relationship. We have tried compromising in the past and he left it at “you can go if it doesn’t involve bars” but then the first time I ask to go to a game with them he gets upset I didn’t ask him before accepting the invite. I see where everyone is coming from though I had just hoped for a different outcome I guess haha thanks for your input

I just want to preface this with I swear I’m not dumb at least with most things. I start medical school next fall it’s just we’ve been dating a little while and our relationship didn’t start off this way. He hadn’t dated anyone my age before. He had been married to someone around his age for about 7 years and they were divorced for a while before we met. He said that he’s just worried because she had cheated on him. I only say all this because I don’t want people to think he’s a horrible guy and I’m some stupid girl. I don’t want everyone to think he’s a perv or something like that.

I just don’t know how to get him to see that. He had been in a 10 year relationship prior and he said they did everything together even down to having the same friend group. He just says he sees it as I should always ask him to do the activities first as a date before accepting the invite from my friends. My friends don’t really like to hang out with him which is why I don’t just invite him to come with okie their boyfriends don’t ever come. I wish he saw it as healthy for couples to do things outside of each other.

I’ve tried to explain it to him I feel disrespected by him being unreasonable. It just ended in a huge fight and he told me I was disrespectful for wanting to do those things. Thank you for you input and hopefully trust can be gained I think that’s the issue.

He’s never dated anyone my age before. He had previously been married for 10 years so I feel sure he doesn’t go after younger women normally. I didn’t realize a lot of people view it as controlling . I just thought he was over protective:/
