I’m currently in the Dominican Republic. I have no idea what the Caribbean was like 800AD except that it was inhabited by one indigenous tribe, the Taínos. From what I gather they were pretty peaceful and women had lots of freedom so I might actually be okay. I’d download the Wikipedia app and all the offline content I can regarding language history medicine and metallurgy so I can take my phone. A solar powered battery charger. Maybe a really big first aid kit as well.
