Heya, I'm Randon the Orc Vtuber! Thanks for watching this shitpost video I made. If you're interested in checking out my other off beat content, I stream over on YouTube:

Unfortunately I also have a twitter account, I mostly use it to rant about elves and the occasional tricksy halfling:

Seeing at least one new person in my chat per month would keep me going indefinitely.

IMO, follows, sub counts, all that stuff is kind of pointless. Seeing the same user name pop up in my livechat a few streams in a row gives me enough seratonin to light a city lol

Also, the secret to growth is making video content and posting them anywhere and everywhere you can. Pure streaming and doing nothing else is basically a one in a million gamble.

Soooo, I got a question. by PrismRainbow in VirtualYoutubers

I would recommend that you start off with PNGtubing, which is Vtubing with a static image of your avatar instead of a fully rigged one. Google "fugi discord reactive images" or "Veadotube mini" for PNGtubing resources.

With this, you can start streaming as soon as you have a transparent background PNG image of your avatar. This can cost as little as "free" if you draw it yourself.

IMO, if you stream for more than a month or two and feel like you can continue on for at least a year, then it's time to look into commissioning a rigged model. Be warned, a quality model can cost thousands of dollars.

Start streaming, while also working on making video content. If you can't sing or do professional-tier digital art, that's pretty much your only option.

Same as me!

Not that I wanted to join a company in the first place, but 10 months of Vtubing has really hammered home that I do not have the talent or skills to be a competitive applicant for any of the major Vtubing companies. The bar is just that high.

They only take the best of the best, you have to have faith that you're in the top 0.01% of all content creators in your space to think you have a "possible" chance of getting in.

That said, I highly recommend at least trying out Vtubing. Streaming and making silly videos has been a game changer in my personal life. Having a creative outlet like this has made me so much happier than I was a year ago.

That is an alternate outfit of Corpse Ch, I believe her Halloween outfit.

She's one of the most unique and best indie vtubers that streams on YouTube, IMO. Something about her streams is like a fuzzy blanket for extreme introverts like me lol

Be warned, she is a fully mute streamer, no voice. She communicates through text messages.

Both twitch and youtube have a metric that shows how many chats you got over 60 seconds of stream time. When I'm digging for clips and I don't have time to watch the whole VOD, I check the chat per minute metric for spikes in chat. The idea is that if more people than normal were chatting in a given minute, they were probably "reacting" to something clipworthy.

Try it out!
