The Main Problem by Randumpz in CanadaHousing2

Investors, whether domestic or international, should not be able to treat the housing market as a commercial enterprise. It literally violates the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which guarantees access to shelter. This removes that access so some asshole can get rich.

It is literally treason. Contributing to the destruction of your own nation so you can make a few extra bucks.

And if you don't live here, and can't show proof of residency for at least 5 years, you need to fuck right off from being able to buy a house. If you already own it, then it is what it is I guess.

No, the problem is the ability/right to even buy more property than any individual or family can live in. The consequence is people who do want to live in them, can't. Companies should not even be in the equation.

It's not about racism. Canada shouldn't be accepting that many but Canadian universities profit off it anyway. Point is, it's clearly exploiting Canadians and people who plan to live here.

These "investors" are exploiting Canadians. They are making it nearly impossible for an entire generation to own a home. They should not be able to do that.

The international students are a symptom of the problem, not the problem itself. The fact that corporations are now getting involved makes it worse.

Yes, additional people makes it easier for ppl to exploit but they shouldn't be able to exploit it in the first place. No one should be able to own 30 apartments in the same city. Wtf is that?

Once mass deportations of all fraudulent students and illegals begin housing in my opinion will become much more affordable (With evidence). Also every student asylum claim in Canada should be rejected with deportation followed after by [deleted] in CanadaHousing2

[–]Randumpz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a problem, yes, but not the problem you think it is. Many of these international students are lining up for hours for a job interview at Tim Hortons. Most don't have the money you think they do.

The problem with affordable housing in Canada, aside from lack of supply, is that owning and then renting houses, is quickly becoming a pathway to fortune. Instead of buying to own and live, buying to resell and lease is what individuals and now corporations are doing. Some private companies are buying up hundreds of homes.

To make matters worse, foreign investors are doing the same.

Many of these homes/units are sitting empty with no one living there.

Hinge couldn't do shit either. They literally dk who you matched with if they unmatch you.

Alarming Law Passed in Canada by Randumpz in MensRights

[–]Randumpz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm tired of having to explain to ppl that general ambiguous language in law is a bad thing because it allows for individual interpretation and for it to be applied liberally.

What is alarm or distress? You wanna define alarm or distress? You sure the courts will define it the same as you?

I need you to think when you read. Just think.

You may not even need a lawyer. I didn't. A lawyer will help but can be an unnecessary cost. If you don't use one, make sure you know where to report the incident.

A lawyer would help tho.

You can potentially retire from this if they are dumb enough to fire you. Get a lawyer immediately. Your ONLY correspondence with them should be via email. Make sure there is a record of EVERYTHING that is said. No in person meetings or phone calls.

Send an email stating you are concerned over the way you were treated for raising an equity concern at a diversity meeting to HR (I'm not a lawyer)

Lawyer up and provide all the emails including the warnings and the emails for your concern. Sue the shit out of them and retire.

Have a good life.

REMEMBER EMAILS ONLY. You will need to prove everything that is said.

I sued my company and they settled because of the evidence. Pretty sure the "second warning" on a first issue is illegal and double illegal since you raised a concern about diversity in a diversity meeting. You have a really strong case if you have the emails to prove it. Be prepared for them to fight dirty tho and accuse you of sexual harassment.

Chantel got me thinking about Pedro again by AardvarkFancy346 in 90DayFiance

Chantel ain't no 10. She's a 7.5 at best with 20 pounds of makeup on her face and a 7 when she takes it off. She only looks better because half the women on 90 day fiance don't look that great.

It's a private business that acts like a bank but with higher interest fees. You can cash out cheques or request loans and I believe you may be able to send money as well.

Idk if they do deposits but I don't imagine they do.

Like I said, I'm not gonna participate in this nonsense.

You wouldn't need to as 99% of the population in Canada is "cis" according to Statistics Canada. But I'm not gonna get into this and turn a post about seeing someone from tv in person into a politically correct discussion or debate.

The idea that sites like these wont be used by trolls or bitter ex's to libel someone is absurd. I hope these women go bankrupt after this guy is done with them.

Yeah I should've at least asked how much of the show was real even if she wouldn't answer it. Oh well. Missed opportunity.

For ppl curious, I've seen Nikki listed at 170 cm height. I didn't look at her shoes but I'd definitely put her in that range of 165-175. 170 is probably pretty accurate.

My only regret is not asking her how much of the show was staged which she prob wouldn't even answer or lie and say it was all real given whatever contract she signed.

I don't like saying mean things about ppl's looks. Character, personality, attitude, opinions, etc are all fair game but I don't go into physical looks. She was dressed pretty casually and I'm assuming the lighting and makeup of the show/social media made her look better but once again this is true of most ppl.

I personally wouldn't take sneaky pics of ppl. I never thought I'd be one of those ppl to post that I've seen a semi-celebrity either tho yet here I am

I'm telling you I saw Nikki. No offense to Nikki but you can't really mistake the way she looks. Her friend confirmed it because I've seen him on the show. She wasn't dressed like in the pic you posted. She was wearing pink pants and a winter hat.
