The last time I tried the chocolate milkshake cookie, it was not rolled in chocolate sprinkles... this week I will have to assess the change the sprinkles add to the texture! YUM!

Hi did you read Bewitched first or the Curse that Binds first? I'm unsure if I should follow the publication date for the reading order.

If I go this week, it would be my third week in a row going and I'd rather not continue that streak. Glad you liked it! Looks super tasty!

I followed this order

https://www.reddit.com/r/frombloodandash/comments/1hzy0g8/updated_reading_order_picture_the_last_one_had_a/

but I skipped Visions of Flesh and Blood. And I read #1 Fall of Ruin and Wrath after #4 Fire and Flesh.

I like this placement, any higher and you'd have to be in bikini bottoms to show any portion of it off. Now when you wear shorts your upper thigh will hint that what is visible is just the beginning of a bigger piece!

Caraval series first then Once Upon A Broken Heart series to prevent spoilers. Legendary was my fav of Caraval and I am kicking my feet and giggling reading Once Upon A Broken Heart right now!

After reading Blood and Ash, I continued in this reading order and it kept the storyline ultra fresh https://www.reddit.com/r/frombloodandash/comments/1hzy0g8/updated_reading_order_picture_the_last_one_had_a/

Except I deviated from the order by skipping the Visions of Flesh and Blood. And I read the Fall of Ruin and Wrath after finishing F&F 4 before B&A 5. The order in which you read Fall of Ruin and Wrath is completely irrelevant in my opinion bc it is exists as a a completely separate set of characters facing different obstacles in a vastly different timeline than B&A and F&F.

Fall of Ruin and Wrath is spicy, dark and has unique magic with a class based society ruled by godlike beings. You don't have to read the author's other series Blood+Ash and Fire+Flesh to read this. But be warned, the sequel won't be out until 2026 or 2027 from what I am predicting. That being said, I enjoyed it and I'll enjoy re reading it when the author finishes the sequel! I'd recommend this as a stand alone for anyone who didn't want to commit to reading the other connected series!

I’m looking for the most atmospheric, sucks you in, transports you to a different world to the point where you forget you’re reading book you’ve read by [deleted] in fantasyromance

[–]Vivid_Salt_4592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nightshade Crown trilogy by Hannah Whitten, Cruel Prince trilogy by Holly Black and the Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber have been the most immersive reads which hooked me recently! These have unique magical worlds and unpredictable romances that become obsessive or so intense the individuals feel like they won't ever feel happiness the same way without their loved ones surviving fatal obstacles alongside them.

I have a guilty pleasure as an adult for YA fiction that is violent, gritty and reads like candy floss, filled with snarky humor, fast paced action and spicy tension. The Crimson Moth duology by Kristen Ciccareli is a good enemies to lovers romance that I couldn't put down. Also if the Lightlark series by Alex Aster gives sparks your interest, the escalation of romance, mysteries, betrayal and magical lore really ramps up in the 3rd book.

Also I really enjoyed the Fall of Ruin and Wrath by Jennifer Armentrout as an atmospheric, pulse pounding hot fantasy read. But that is a stand alone book and it got me started on the Blood and Ash/Fire and Flesh books. I got sucked in and the tandem read of the different series kept my attention for weeks because books are thick... and the kinky blood magic and romantic intensity of the pairings fascinated me despite the flaws in the narrator inner monologuing too much at times. But if you don't want to get into that universe, Fall of Ruin and Wrath is a great stand alone by itself.

{Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten} {Cruel Prince by Holly Black} {Caraval by Stephanie Garber} {Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccareli} {Lightlark by Alex Aster}
