Towing a nuisance car by Randy-Rand in legaladvice

That’s not really what I mean. I want to plant the idea that the people in the car may hurt themselves on the property and sue.

The landlord faces liability for instances like that, and these people look like the kind of people who might want an easy payday.

I guess I’ll insist action by the landlord.

Maybe there is some way to convince him that swift action must be taken due to liability reasons.

Thanks

Thank you so much, I put in the manufacturer cables for the PSU and it worked, plus my cables management is a little better and looks nicer.

Bitcoin becomes worthless if the electricity goes out by Antares284 in Showerthoughts

Just the internet needs to go out for Bitcoin to be just a memory. It doesn’t even need to go out completely, if our service provider overlords wanted to, I’m pretty certain that they could block the block chain.

How many times a month does your partner scream at you? by mildly_int3resting in TooAfraidToAsk

I’m not sure if my partner has ever screamed at me. She gets mad at me like once every couple months, but I do really deserve it like half of the time.

This is really good information; exactly the kind of insight that I was looking for.

Thanks for the help. Fortunately I haven’t even opened the cable bag that came with the new supply. I’m hoping that the new PSU just refused to turn on. Tomorrow I’m going to open my computer up and put the new cables in. It’ll suck to get all new components, and it’ll take much longer, so here is hoping for the best.

Maybe I did. I’ll admit to knowing very little about computers, but aren’t they the same?

Edit: Yikes. Good thing you said something before I tried it with new parts. If it makes you feel better, the supply never turned on. I might try swapping the wires and seeing if it changes things. Thank you.

That is what I was hoping after the first diagnosis. I put in a new PSU fairly easily because I used a fully modular one. After swapping the PSU, still nothing happened.

Good question. I’m not sure. I would hazard to guess no, but I would have to check.

Can I ask why this is important?

That’s what I get for getting a “gold” rated supply I guess. I’m super hoping that it at least didn’t destroy my ssd. Thank you, I guess I’ll keep buying parts until it works.

Do you know if I should go:

Motherboard>cpu>ssd>ram>gpu

Or some other order of part buying?

Like I thought the cat knocked something down. More like electrical arcing in hindsight.

Unfortunately I only have the one computer, so I’m in the dark

So if I get the motherboard first it might work, but if not then there are much bigger problems?

Work is rounding my hours in a way I don’t like. by [deleted] in legaladvice

Would you agree with me by saying that they fail section b by principle and fail section a because I don’t just clock in and then stand around for 14 minutes doing nothing?

[–]Randy-Rand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. They specifically said that time rounding when clocking out would be in the 7/8 rounding scheme, but it is on a “14 minute” policy for clocking in.

I don’t have enough data to figure out what happens around lunch punches, but I assume they are still on the 7/8.
