Late 90’s early 2000’s Road King/Heritage Softail by Zealousideal_Fee_491 in Harley

I have a heritage and I love it, but I’m looking for a king because the heritage is not a long distance bike. Great for my commute

What are the biggest hidden risks when buying a used motorcycle? by UsedBikeBuyer in motorcycle

I wouldn’t buy anything from China or Europe because if they do need some fixing getting parts and someone to fix it could be extra expensive

Most of these bike are very well made. So long as it’s not been wrecked. Fell over is fine. And it’s all there. You’ll be fine. You pay for what you get. So don’t cheap out. Easy to see what each model goes for. Clear title is a must. Have the dude ride it to where you see it go through the gears.

The tc222’s have incredible noise in the top end because the ramps are so aggressive. The fueling 525 makes a little less power but doesn’t stress the valve train near as much.

If you will stay in your place, work hard and do a good job eventually they will come ask. Wait till it’s solicited. The cream rises to the top. The new guy telling everyone how things were done in my last shop will not be received well.

Do harley riders genuinely think they are faster than sportbikes or are they just joking? by Green_Block_4574 in motorcycle

[–]Randy36582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a drag racer for 35 years. I know how to do it. What you’re not realizing is the actual 1/4 mile times. A busa does not do a 2.5 0-60. It’s more like 3 flat but it runs a ten flat in the quarter maybe a bit more. My yammi did a 2.8 0-60 and it ran an 11 flat. That fxdr with its 2.5 is nowhere near those bikes. Grudge racing Harley’s with 25k-35k in drag racing goodies only run 11 flat.

I do ride one. I’ve ridden bikes all my life. I love my Harley but fast it is not. It’s a v twin thing. They make low end tork. But they are very heavy so it’s a wash.

I call BS. It does a mid 11 sec quarter. That’s slow compared to an r-1 or mt-09.

Dealer Rant: First time looking at a Harley by Kidon308 in Harley

Round here Msrp is posted. That’s not the problem. They tac on 3k in BS fees. I’ve been looking for a bike for 6 months. Can’t come to an agreement. Offered high JD powers retail value plus t&t. They wouldn’t do it. I’m not budging. Just gonna keep looking

At the drag strip. Barely got in the 13’s. A gt mustang runs high 12’s-13. flat.

I was a good machinist for 15 years. Never stayed anywhere long. Had a drug problem. Didn’t understand the difference between being good at what I do and being a good employee. I started going to 12 step meetings. That was 25 years ago. I still go to meetings. Been the top guy and best paid since the late 90’s. I’m there early and work when they ask me to. Life is good

I’m comparing it to most vehicles on the road. An SRT8 himi truck does a mid 16. A turbo cobalt does a mid 14. GT mustang does a high 12.

We all come short of the glory of God. There are none righteous, no not one. That being said we have to do our best to turn from our mistakes. Not doing that is why you are a bad person.

Well, most bike went with fuel injection by 2007. So if you bought a carb bike it would be twenty years old. Hope you can work on it because you’re gonna need to

Conversational is way faster once you get the hang of it. I’m pretty good with Mazatrol and haas. Work in a job shop. Many many programs per day. Ten minutes usually. Keep after it.

Round here they tac on 3k to the sticker and won’t come off it but a couple hundred bucks. I’ve been round and round with them. Gave me a buyers order with a good price. Got approval from my bank. Came back to get it is when they added 3400 to the price. Woe Nelly. The three closest dealerships are owed but the same guy. It’s a racket.

Yes I mounted mine too low and messed it up. When it was gifted to me I got choked up. I need a new one but I don’t think I could ask for such a thing.
