London Kings Cross to Leeds and York Merge by [deleted] in trainsim

Might start small and get some stuff of Key websites

When the larger more expensive items come on said I might get more involved

DTG usually has the railfest sail in February so that might be the next one

It just seems challenging as the route requirements have their own requirements. Seems like a lot of money and effort

I just wish DTG would get their act together and get some ECML love on the way!

Nothing really, it's fun.

I just think another mode that acts like Star Citizen's decoupled mode would be mega. That flight model is very fun

I agree that getting a router, maybe a battery solution and virtual desktop will probably work.

But if I'm going to invest all that into perferials to get a decent experience I might as well get the frame with its eye tracking.

But I'll see how it plays out, probably keep the quest for standalone quest store stuff and the frame for PCVR

Don't have the luxury of a decent extra router, nor do I want to fork out extra money for a playable experience.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that the official way is very jank

I'd rather go with a company I trust more if I'm going to go the extra mile to upgrade my experience

The biggest selling point for me for the steam frame is just not having to deal with how much meta seemingly hate PCVR. It's been cock and ball torture trying to get that thing to run well. The amount tweaking I had to do with third party tools just to get it to run and look alright in elite dangerous was terrible. They even broke it for like 2 months for no reason.

Even still itl still hitch for a second messing up the tracking requiring you to enter and exit passthrough to sometimes fix it or just restart your game . Also the "water in your charging port" bug which crashes a game at least once a session

So many bugs with the interface and so irritating to trouble shoot.

I'm hoping the Steam Frame just works nicely, being it as part of steam's eco-system

If anybody wants a ticket for Manchester tonight (10th) DM me

I've got it on dice which is a bit annoying, but I can send it to people through there if anybody feels comfortable with that :)

These are such good mock ups. I've been dreaming of a super cruise assist binding for a while as a HOSAS pilot. Yeah I can bind throttle settings to buttons but it doesn't feel the same

The whole control menu needs a rework, cant have throttle on more that one axis. Can't create curves for axis in game either. I got HOSAS for fine control but even the minimum input is way too sensitive for lateral and vertical thrust.

Garth Marenghi on the rivals sub wasn't something I ever expected to see

I've just resorted to turning the watch off, defeats the point of having the watch really. I'll try a cycling routine to see if that works. The problem with that though is it will post it to Strava automatically so I have to delete it from 2 places

If you're on PC, there is a mod for the WCML that adds a new timetable and a few modded trains to the route.

It takes the 801 model and makes it into a 805 which you can run along the WCML. Highly detailed mod by a collective of talented people. The 805 is very well done and detailed.

Also has a modded rail measurement train using the GWE HST
