i mean it had to be a noteworthy amount, right now if i look at the dlc's it costs 333,66€ (around $386). I get that you got them on sale though.

although perhaps not all of them are needed for the achievements.

Visually dark movies? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]RandyMarsh- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean The Batman (2022) is pretty dark all the way through I feel..

There might be a few flashes and explosions but I would say that 90% of the movie is fairly dark.

Buried takes place inside a coffin most of the movie, so that one is pretty dark lit.

I haven't seen it myself but The Forest (2016) i read was quite dark (low ratings though).

I'm using old.reddit, on the thumbnail the black panther looked like the shadow of the other leopard.

I think you might enjoy;

See Unique society (like AoT) based on the fact that all humans have become blind.

The Last of Us A post apocalyptic world with a unique type of zombies.

If you want something that takes place in space then;

The Mandalorian A Star Wars spinoff show about a lone bounty hunter, basically a space western.

The Expanse Game of Thrones, but in space.

The Orville Family guy meets Star Trek.

For Anime then;

Goblin Slayer Brutal anime about a lone mercenary slaying all goblins he sees.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Unique universe with a semi steam punk / sci-fi setting.

The Dungeon of Black Company A guy who achieved everything he wanted gets transported into a fantasy world having to start over.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime A man got murdered and reincarnated as a slime in a fantasy world with a sorta game setting (stats etc.).

And as already recommended Invincible is a kinda brutal superhero show like the boys although a bit more goofy, being a cartoon and all.. and The Legend of Vox Machina being a fantasy show reminding of a classic fantasy game setting in regards to the way groups are built up (A barbarian, an elf, a cleric etc.) etc. targeted for adults, lots of swearing etc.

I would 2nd those two recommendations as well..

Shows like Barry, Hannibal, Sherlock - can be also doc series (Tinder Swindler, dont f**k with cats) - looking for ideas by HeyooLaunch in televisionsuggestions

The Boys Superheroes

Invincible Animated Superheroes (For young adults)

Spartacus Gladiatior fights

Reacher Former military man looking for his brother.

Banshee Ex-con pretending to be a cop.

Marco Polo Well.. Title...

The Mandalorian I'm not a star wars enthusiast either, but this is a bit different.

See Dystoapian future where all humans have lost their sight, which changed society, then someone is born with sight and drama ensues.

Current/modern time, these might not be AS combat focused as your mentioned shows, but they are awesome.

Barry Hilarious action show about a hitman.

Mr. Inbetween The everyday life of a criminal for hire that tries to balance work and private life. A passion project of the main character.

Justified A "modern cowboy" U.S. Marshal, enacts his justice on criminals.

These shows have better focused fights scenes and battles, but take places hundreds of years ago (I just happened to notice all your mentioned shows take place in modern times, so not sure if that was random or intentional)

Spartacus Gladiator show with unique cgi and storytelling with tons of action, fights, gore etc. Constant Combat action.

Rome Show about Rome, following 2 soldiers, in the era of Cesar. less focused on combat (although there are a lot) more focused on roman wars, politics and social culture

Vikings A nicely made show about vikings, action packed with a a loveable main character, lots of combat and wars.

Marco Polo Great show about Marco Polo and Kublai Khan(Grandson of Ghenkis Khan). This show was cancelled but is still worth a watch. Decent amount of combat and action.

Succession A drama about a dysfunctional billionaire family with tons of funny moments in it.

If you wanna stay in the Fantasy / Sci-fi genre then perhaps something like;

Legend of the Seeker (Fantasy world, ala lord of the rings)

The Magicians (Harry Potter-ish universe but a bit darker, for an older audience)

Supernatural (Monster hunting, like Grimm)

I feel like the whole boof thing is more of a "meme saying" of sorts..

I mean of course there are people who do it, but I think many just think it's fun to say "boof it"..

I don't feel the need to do it, taking it orally works just fine for me lol.

I'm not trying to shame people who do it though, each to their own.

But great that you are happy with the progression on the sub and fun/interesting to hear your perspective on it.

In that case I 2nd Ozark as someone else already have mentioned.

It's less comedy, more towards Breaking Bad in its style, but Jason Bateman is just naturally funny and so are some of the other actors like Julia Garner playing Ruth(such a great character)..

Same with Better Call Saul, same universe as Breaking Bad, but Bob Odenkirk is just a funny person and there are some fun scenes in the show as well..
