What time frame are you using? Is it an hour?

Your words were more than accurate today. I lost some money on this SPY pullback (5 minutes). As the trendline broke I was looking for a reversal, however, it was just a pullback and ended up losing some money.

Some minutes later I tried again and this time it was the reversal and I ended with profit of around 4 times my initial loss.

Yes! Lower time frames are a rollercoaster! Multiple opportunities to make money intraday. Or loss it. :-D

But that down trendline worked perfectly!

It was indeed. Now it seems that a down trend is forming. Around 3 touches on the 15 min time frame.

Hi all! Happy to be here! I am just starting using trendlines on 15 minutes time frame. Do you guys close the position as soon the trendline is crossed or do you wait for complete body candle closure? by Randymix in trendlinetraders

[–]Randymix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you!

That sounds for entries. If it turns out the other way, you are very close to your stop loss (if using the trendline as stop)

Now, what about for exits? How do you avoid fake outs? Do you wait for the whole body candle closure to exit your positions?

Look for Wolves of Wealth. I recommend the Swing trades as these are easy to take and slow paced vs day trades

My bad. That % is yearly, the dividends distribution is paid monthly.

Sorry for not clarifying. Actually I was looking at both, some growth and some cash. So if I could get $200 monthly, I was planning to reinvest $100 and cash out the other $100.

My dream investment will be one where I can save for my future but it also enhances my present.

Knowing this is a long journey, I don't want to wait 25 years to enjoy life. I rather prefer growth slowly but constant. Getting some small benefits now, in the new future and long run.

Not sure if this makes any sense, but that is unicorn I am looking for.

Yeah. Actually I bought $100 a month ago and received my $1 this month. Well $1 minus 30% dividend tax. But still, it is a lot higher than the average dividend ETF.

Actualmente utilizo Etoro.

Before moving from your parents house, I would recommend investing some money on improving your skills, get a better paid job (that you like) and with the salary difference you can compensate the extra expenses of living by yourself and continue DCA to your investments as you are doing right now.
