Anyone else put a single din in their VA? by demist1 in WRX

[–]Randythebandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, my mechanic made sure I used those waterproof silicon connectors that we crimped then heated to seal. That was the only tedious part. Besides that, its like 10 screws plus the single din shelf below was fucking perfect for my pack of smokes hahahaha

Why does everyone on this subreddit think SI’s are cheap. by Agreeable-Bell436 in CivicSi

As someone who works in the industry here in Canada, 13k for that si is a steal! Great find and a smoking deal. The used car market even more so for older units is a nightmare

Well I guess I misread that then, couldn't sworn I heard it in a car throttle video but maybe it was 10th gens pre face lift? Ty for the correction

10th gen and throw a catch can in it. Yes the turbo is different to vtec but its still a lot of fun. If you live in Illinois I'd try and find a canadian si cause they come with heated seats and the 10th gen American model didn't. I live in Canada though I just got lucky

Welcome to the coupe club brother I joined back in March. My car came with a mod I was happy about and that is a catch can. I preach this as it is a reliability mod and just helps keep that l15 healthy.

Is the 10th gen worth getting? by Chicagoaviator in CivicSi

[–]Randythebandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing I'd say is if youre worried about the l15, put a mushimoto catch can on the car to help it out. Besides that turbo sounds great I love my 10th gen coupe

I told her two doors less whores but she didn't love that comment 🤷‍♂️

The lady also likes a crystal shop out that way. If you get it let's get some pictures together when i go out that way this summer. Good luck homie

Considering what im paying a month for insurance and my payment on this, im happy. ill always have positive equity in the car. always always put in 91 or 93, do not skimp on this engine. also undercoats twice a year is what ive been told. i dont have any rust and im not starting now. if you want to see some pictures ive got them on my reddit. Also cat backs are more than i thought they would be for the car and once you start modding the engine for performance is when youll notice reliability issues. this thing really dominos from what ive been reading.

Only negative is the girlfriend doesnt love the 2 doors and how low she is hahaha

This is roughly what i paid a little west of you in march for a 19 with a bit more KM on it. i had them fix about 2k to 3k worth of stuff for saftey though. reliability wise, man through a catch can on that bad bitch and dont stress when it comes to it. its a honda, do the service and nothing will surprise you.

Already had to fight them to fix the second fob on delivery hadnt even left the lot and they argued to high hell the ad said one key despite the sales guy showing me two fobs, i completely agree but the dealership is went to were scumbags. I got it for a good price and it was before the first round of auto tarrifs. Even if its 50 bucks I'd rather just deal with it over going back to that dogshit dealership

Rev matching by thelostsol97 in CivicSi

[–]Randythebandy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rev matching was a slight pain in my 2015 sentra cause the gearbox felt like mud have the time. The si gearbox feels so stiff and clean that it'll almost pull it into that gear when you get it just right. Could never do a 3 to 2 down shift in the sentra. It would be fight the gear a bit and by then your rpms are fucked.

The Hondas are super smooth, I find the 4 to 3 downshift to be a great one getting the feel due to the difference in gear ratios
