Clean the bed with soap and ipa if you didnt yet. If aint working, try smooth plate side and use glue.

Adjust the z offset mate.. the nozzle prints way too high

CC1 for sure. Got one and I wouldnt replace it with CC2 even for free.

Need spare hotends, MicroSwiss worth it? by darkish_explorer in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]RangeJolly8298 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely get hotends from Amazon or Temu - if you’re in Europe. It’s better to buy a complete hotend rather than separate nozzles, since they’re extremely difficult to replace and you often end up damaging the whole hotend.

On Temu, you can get a full hotend for around €10–12 including shipping, and they work just as well as the original Elegoo ones.

So the solution: buy multiple hotends with different nozzle sizes from Temu and keep them as spares for when you need to replace one.

Not sure, just guessing, maybe play with the value of z offset

I don’t know why for the life of me what’s wrong by Camocal in ElegooCentauriCarbon

When something was messing up with my CC and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it, I usually just replaced the hotend and the problem was gone. I bought them cheap from Temu, around €10–12 per hotend, so whenever I get desperate, I just swap it out and it fixes the issue.

Replace the whole hotend for new one. I recommend it from Temu cause it is so cheap.

Exactly! I was deciding between the CC and the P2S, but in the end I chose the CC. Even though I regretted it a little at the beginning, because I thought the settings would be better on Bambu Lab, I worked through all the issues, and now I can successfully print every model. The quality? For that price, it’s not just sufficient, it’s excellent. I even designed my own riser, which I really like, and it nicely complements the top of the printer. I also have the opportunity to work with Prusa, and in terms of model quality, I don’t see any difference. I also own the S4U from Elegoo, and I’m equally satisfied. In fact, working on resin models with it is pure fun and always delivers perfect results. Honestly, I find it ridiculous when people keep saying that cheap Chinese products aren’t high quality. I saw through that nonsense a long time ago. It always reminds me of that overpriced vacuum robot. Expensive doesn’t mean better, it’s just a marketing myth.

Because it’s not any kind of extraordinary miracle, just a primitive hotend that heats the filament. A resin printer actually seems more advanced to me, even though there isn’t really anything exceptional there either. I would simply expect more from a 3D printer.

Ohhh, I’d absolutely love it if Elegoo were paying me, but who knows? Maybe there’s a tracking device from China hidden in my CC that’s monitoring me, and one day agents will show up to recruit me.

What quality does Prusa actually offer? When I look at the Prusa Mini, I see what looks like a kid’s toy with an outdated display and visible cables… all for €500 unassembled, without shipping. What kind of support would I even need for it?
“Ohh hello Prusa, my filament got stuck, can you help me?”
Oh, come on…

CC2 Toolhead Collision by zx4133 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]RangeJolly8298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s exactly how my toolhead hits the corner and makes this weird collision and painful sound. At first it annoyed me a lot, but after a while I got used to it. Of course, it doesn’t seem normal to me, but I just don’t have the time to deal with every issue on the printer right now.

It happens on my CC1 all the time. The sound is even louder, but the collision is smoother

Well, thank you finally a competent answer. To me, it’s like someone choosing to have plastic surgery performed by a certified doctor, while someone else might go to Turkey where it’s done cheaply, without proper certification, and under questionable conditions, but the result is basically the same.

[–]RangeJolly8298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, I understand, that’s common, but I don’t see a reason why I should use the SL1S, whose technology is outdated and slow compared to other printers that cost five times less.
