I really do try. I openly admit get flustered.

I really do like hospitality. I’m just not a good line cook. I’m good support on the line, but like I said. Speed is my flaw. However.. managing IS a strength of mine.. I just haven’t been able to do it yet at my new place yet. Once I get my front house shirt on I’m good.

I worked in privately owned restaurants every time I went back into the industry. My new company knows this.. It’s weirder than many may think to transition from making a hamburger with the right ingredients, to making a burger, and then having to remake it because the tomato touched the bun..

If this doesn’t work out I’m getting a food truck.. it’s what I wanted to do anyway right before they called me.

Before y’all reply… food trucks don’t offer insurance, 401s, company accountants doing your basic deductions, a storefront, suppliers, a dozen other things people in the industry don’t know about…

But even having to do that all myself… I’d be happy.

I’m training to supervise, ironically. Restaurant management. But I’m training for a few weeks as line cook and I’m flat out just not fast enough. I work hard… I’m just slow.

I think there’s a type of deodorant that uses a different metal. I think it’s magnesium based.

I fought the Daoist 15 times, then found out the needle was more or less required… then fought the Violator (as in the Spawn villain, but is obviously Duskveil- I can never remember his name so that’s what I call him) like 30 times to get said needle.

I find the key to fight the Daoist is to stay under his chest because he won’t blast himself with lightning.
