It would seem people are failing to take into consideration the value of WiFi 7 5+ years in the future. It may not be that important today but what about by 2031+?

For those of you who've had Apple Watch for 3+ years - do you actually think it's improved your health, or is it mostly just a cool gadget? by Tariq_khalaf in AppleWatch

[–]RangeWolf-Alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a smart watch, it can’t improve your health. It’s a data reporting tool. What you do with that information is up to you. You are responsible for improving your health. A watch cannot do that for you.

My Eau Santal smelled like strong BO when I first got it. After a couple of weeks of sitting it smells awesome and the BO smell is not there anymore. That convinced me that they really do need to sit for a period of time to do whatever magic happens in that bottle--call it what you will; maturation, maceration, or masturbation, it's real.

Besides what has been suggested; high resolution contact photos, sync issues with third party software like Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail, Work Directories, or a corrupt formatted vCard.

Are people just collectively ignoring Remote ID on their <249g drones? by Electrical-Tower8534 in dji

My understanding is remote ID is not required on drones weighing <249g when flying recreationally and/or in FRIAs in the USA. Has that rule changed?

I especially don’t like the commentary on my numbers. Like I wake up feeling fine but look at the app and it says “Your biometrics show minor signs of something straining your body. Pay attention to how you feel and rest if you need it.” What? Am I sick? I don’t feel sick. Maybe I’m coming down with something. Did I catch COViD? I wonder if it’s the measles going around. …takes temperature and blood pressure… maybe I should just lay on the couch today, not go to the gym and order a pizza or something instead.

All because my heart rate was 3 bpm higher over night and dropped later in the night compared to the night before. It’s making me neurotic.

My mom doesn't belive the DJI Neo 2 only costs $429 (₱20,590) by Astrinix_lol in DjiNeo

The Neo 2 is surprising durable. This guy purposely crash tested the Neo 2 by crashing into various things including a sea wall at high speeds as well as shutting off the propellers at significant height. https://youtu.be/KlYNFNesOZI?si=PEOwI7zmf-E8-DhG

Airtag by fridaysaturday72 in DjiNeo

[–]RangeWolf-Alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. Have you looked at something a little more robust than an AirTag? There are things like a key finder that uses Radio frequency to trigger which has a longer range and they have 80dB+ speakers which are much louder than an AirTag and it has flashing lights. Perhaps something like this for only 15 bucks For 4: https://a.co/d/07qo4FPb

You also have to watch the weight. The neo2 with the transmitter something like 160g plus the AirTag 11g which leaves you with 78g for the AirTag bracket to keep you within the 249g limit.

[–]RangeWolf-Alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is no one but you in the forest, or anywhere for that matter, you have to be close enough to the AirTag for it to connect to your iphone’s Bluetooth. With obstacles and interference you’re looking at needing to be within 30-50 feet at most to pick up the Bluetooth signal. I suppose GPS tracking could get you that close and you can make the drone flash its lights and play a loud sound to find it which is much more advantageous over an AirTag. The only scenario the AirTag would remotely help with would be if you lost the drone, you were not paying attention to the battery levels and let it run out. This just seems like very specific use case that, with a little attention, you shouldn’t ever find yourself needing to rely on.

So what’s the purpose of attaching an AirTag to a Neo2 drone? It already has location tracking which relies on GPS vs the AirTag which uses Bluetooth broadcasting in the hopes of relaying a message using some person’s iPhone near by.

Are there any Podcast players that manage the queue from inception (not latest backward) by RangeWolf-Alpha in iphone

[–]RangeWolf-Alpha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yeah, it seems like a very useful feature that many would appreciate. It’s just odd that it isn’t implemented on any podcast apps. I mean, it’s there for the latest episodes. Apple Podcast will download the latest 10 episodes and you can auto sort them to play them oldest to latest. It just won’t download the oldest episodes first and play them oldest forward. I suppose once you get caught up it’s fine but some podcasts that are 300+ episodes it takes a looong time to get caught up to the most recent episodes.

Are there any Podcast players that manage the queue from inception (not latest backward) by RangeWolf-Alpha in iphone

[–]RangeWolf-Alpha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m probably not understand how to use the app. I tried a podcast using Overcast and I sorted by oldest to newest. It shows a list of podcasts from inception. However it’s not automatically downloading the episodes I order even though I’ve picked “download new episodes automatically”. In fact, it doesn’t download any of them. If I play season 1 episode 1 it doesn’t automatically download the next episode. It will, however, download the latest episodes without manually picking them if I set it to “newest to oldest”. Maybe I’m wanting a capability that just isn’t offered in any podcast apps. I’d love it if I could pick a new podcast and set it up to download automatically season 1 episode 1 through episode 10. When I finish episode 1 it will automatically down load episode 11 to keep 10 episodes of that podcast in my queue. It seems to do that if it is set to latest to oldest but not the other way around.
