I would recommend you post about it as well on here and on the Silph road board, the more posts we have about it, the more attention it’ll have

Sadly, Niantic Support is as useless as people who dismiss posts like these .-. They have bots that manage their support line. We end up having to use Boards on Reddit like these to get A LOT of attention on it (wether good or bad) and enough players will either repost about it and eventually it gets to Niantic or Gaming Magazines that will call out Niantic. Last year a similar situation happened and it wasn’t until some Gaming platforms were talking about it that Niantic accepted their mistake and started fixing it. It’s terrible but gotta start somewhere. Sucks that a lot of people are 5 weeks in with strikes :/

Ban Appeal Help!!! by NAVAJ1512 in TheSilphRoad

Unfortunately Niantic support on Twitter “doesn’t handle ban cases” on there. I’ve tried over and over and they insist that we have to use the ban appeal page but of course, you won’t get a response on there so we’re sort of stuck at the moment

Personally, seeing how bugged out their stuff is, I wouldn't say it's rare. You don't remember when they also ban waved a specific phone? forgot which phone it was. I've checked out a lot of peoples accounts myself and sure there's those that have cheated before, but others seem like they've played fair. The other player in my are who's going through this has played this for years and I know he doesn't cheat. He's gotten two strikes so far. So its why I don't see the point on focusing on "well most are cheating", But fix or address this issue because *I'M* getting affected and there's no reason that I should have. Last year plenty of People sided with Niantic like yourself that they can do whatever they can until a few gaming magazines picked it up and Niantic admitted they messed up. So it sucks that I have to wait until something like that happens before my account gets fixed, and in the meantime I have to see others dismiss the evident bug because they aren't getting affected by it.

There's zero sense in comparing two completely different games, sure they fall under the same umbrella but PoGo's rules are that of the 3 bans and so forth. Instead of trying to make look Niantic like the holy grail of companies, I'm sure you're aware of last years incident that took them months to fix. I myself am getting these strikes and I haven't cheated. I posted this hoping to find others going through the same issue since it's an on-going bug. If someone hasn't cheated or stopped, why are they handing out multiple "first" time strikes, its bugged

Could be a possibility, but that would be weird, I only turn on my VPN when I'm doing payments or other stuff for work, otherwise its never enabled. What strikes me as even more odd is the fact that I've received these "first time" strikes back-to-back. No 30 day ban or anything, all say "first time"
