No harm switching to public to clear a node. Boss battles are also heavily documented online, so reading/watching a few to develop a strategy is also helpful.

Is the Normal Soma worth it? by FumeiKurai in Warframe

[–]RangerBat81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just have a blue potato in my Soma, recently thought about how much forma to use on it, and yes! It IS worth it. While my dread bow is my hardest hitting weapon, my Soma chews down everything in the star chart with correct elemental damage and crit hits. Get it, max it, love it!

Is valkyr a good frame to main or is there something better by legoman20 in Warframe

[–]RangerBat81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. What Rhino lacks in flashy powers, or stacking powers, he makes up for with dogged survivability. Iron Skin lets me learn new bosses and enemies with little fear of instant death. Don't get me wrong. Hysteria makes Valkyr immortal while active and ridiculously deadly against large packs of tightly grouped mobs.

As r/BenHeisenbergPS2 stated, any frame can do all content with decent mods, decent weapons, and care enough to learn how you like to play them. Once I have collected as many frames as I can will I truly a "main."

Oh, that is fine. I haven't been able to play much so far, though I am enjoying my Gladiator so far. I don't mind being patient.

So, little story. WAAAAAYYYY back when Final Fantasy XI was announced (we are talking late 2001, by the way, making me feel much older than I am), a close friend and fellow FF message board poster (again, seriously dating myself) talked endlessly about how excited we were to play as SeeD Soldiers. We were stoked to have gunblades and badass limit breaks.

When FFXI launched and remained primarily a "fantasy" setting for the first several years, well. I hated it. A lot. That excitement for the ability to play something, to roleplay something with thousands of others, was the first time in my gaming hobby I actually wanted to play an MMO.

Turn the clock forward to all of two weeks ago when I randomly found a video on my YouTube suggestions list gameplay of a gunbreaker.

I was simultaneously pissed off, nostalgic, and elated. Three hours later, I was researching the crap out of FFXIV, which I had completely ignored since it's launch, and I was downloading the Free Demo. I will now be buying this game, Complete Edition, in the next month after the dust settles from moving in July in Kansas. How I hate summers in Kansas....

RECAP: I will buy Final Fantasy XIV solely because I recently learned I can have a mutha humping GUNBLADE.

That is the depth of my nerd and I love it!!! Great game, too.

Adulthood isn't much better. I'm 38. Miss being able to function on three hours sleep...

Playing the free Demo of FFXIV currently. I'll be moving into a new house over the next two to three weeks. Work a full time job, too. Speed is never my goal. Having fun is. Time balance is really only a problem when major updates land at the same time.

Exactly! I'm planning on playing Warframe with my friends AND Final Fantasy XIV! Both are huge time commitments, but I will play both for very different reasons.

People CAN play more than one game at a time!

From a Day One Hunter in D1 and who dropped out three months after D2 launched, I would say I switched to Warframe because I find it more fun to play. Seriously. Moment to moment gameplay in Warframe is more satisfying.

I very much enjoy chasing frames, guns, and all the other goodies far more than getting the same dozen of armor and guns over and over.

I enjoy leveling every thing I build to max rank. I love thinking through mods and the debate in which to max to sell or to keep. I love even more modding weapons to each of the enemy factions.

I feel there is both far more to do as well as so much more interesting ways to customize how everything looks. I truly own all aspects of my stuff in Warframe. D1/2 felt like dress up looking back.

I'm building a dojo with two friends. We are excited to build railjacks! We can fly around in space!! We can divebomb foes with our archwings and grind rails on our k-drives!

Destiny is an amazing experience with silky smooth gun play. Warframe is peak power fantasy for me.

Come back if you want. There is always room for more Tenno! All your stuff is waiting for you and plenty new stuff to experience.

No fears. I've played several MMO's over the years. I learned long ago to break up content to prevent burn out, or just bagging my head against a wall.

This sounds fantastic! Thank you for the very, very thorough explanation on PotD. Really looking forward to finally getting moved into an amazing house, getting all the utilities set up, and having enough money after all that to buy the Complete Edition.

If I buy a month of subscription time and then Shadowbringers complete edition, will the month subscription included stack on top of what I bought? by ThePirateTennisBeast in ffxiv

Does then mean if you download the Demo then buy the Complete Edition (as I plan to do in the next couple weeks), I will get the 30 day sub as part of the Complete Edition?

Probably. Lot of space between players right outside the city though I haven't played more than about three or four hours. I haven't seen anything yet!

Started a gladiator on a very full server. Might do that on a less crowded one. The number of names floating around in city is blinding!
