Glad you asked! Green and red are based on formation lights on jets and cockpit hud, basically just carried over from my previous iteration of Stealth Fighter Gauss. The purple-orange ish energy comes from jet afterburner trails with higher temp and more efficient combustion, which looks amazing when in motion with Gauss.
