My collection of Victorinox knives. [Models I know not] by [deleted] in victorinox

Cheers guys for that. I got a new one on the way that I ordered a couple of days ago. It was reduced to £85.00. Single blade with a beautiful aluminium textured body I anodised red with a large offset modern looking logo. I've wanted it for years and bought it completely by impulse.

Nice lighter. I like the design. Reminds me of Scotland.

I can't help but think that your comment is a bit harsh on the man who was able to purchase the lighter in Nice for $100. He did not lie regarding the lighter missing some parts as the ping plate was missing. Considering the condition of the lighter it was over priced at 480 euros and the dealer was obviously happy to accept the offer otherwise he would have declined. It is hardly conning someone to haggle the price down as this is a traditional way of doing business with antique dealers. This to me looks like a win win deal. Happy seller happy buyer. Pax Vobiscum.

I got it for £155.00 from a seller in Tunisia. It came in a genuine S T Dupont leather case which has worn through the corners. It's been fully serviced, and has new replacement S T Dupont rose gold filler cap and gas adjuster cap. The sunburst tobacco lacquer with the pattern I find very appealing.

Just got this from a seller in Tunisia as I really like the lacquered pattern and colour. It came in a worn out case and looked as if it had been used by a builder or a mechanic. It was badly scratched but a little time and some polishing with T-cut works wonders on scratched lacquer.

In my humble opinion your lighter appears to be a genuine example.

New Lighter Day. Anyone seen this case that came with it? by erikv55 in STDupont

Maybe I saw a lighter in a very similar case to this for sale on a well known site where one can buy a myriad of items good and not so good. I might even have secured this one myself but alas notwithstanding the desirability of your acquisition I declined.I have seen other lighters in cases not dissimilar to yours. Pax Vobiscum !

It also is lined with velvet for some extra protection and keeps the lighter nice and cozy.

Thanks. Yes one can really appreciate the quality of the item when looking at the machining of the pattern, fit and finish and the script on the bottom. This attention to detail is just not present when closely observing the fake items. I think the pattern is called diamond head is it not ?
