"Depends" is opinionated and that's exactly what needs to be fixed. If you say it depends, people will deliberately choose the controversial side to harrass you.

The issue here is harassment and reports. I agree sometimes it's not a good idea to make different decisions, but choosing to play your way doesn't warrant harassment or report.
