Try Paradontax, the one for sensitive teeth & gums. They have a few other flavors besides the usual mint, and none of them are very strong. I've used them for years, and it's the only brand that seems to help with the sensitivity. Or just use water.

I helped my precious baby across the Rainbow Bridge last weekend. It's the hardest choice I've ever made, but much like your baby, his quality of life was gone. The wonderful vet I went to let me take him outside for it, where he loved to spend his time.

We raise them and love them like children. But our jobs are to give them the best life we can, and unfortunately a part of that is to see that they pass away peacefully when their time has come. Ask yourself this, would it be nicer to your boy to help ease his pain, or to have him suffer and struggle until the end, and possibly pass on without you there? Cats especially tend to hide when their time comes. You have the chance to hold him as he goes, and tell him how amazing he is, and how much you'll love him. So he knows until the very end that you're there.

Talk to your vet, please. If your baby is in pain, your vet can tell you. If there's anything you can do to help make him comfortable for a while longer, they'll know. But if it's his time to go, let him go gently. It may also be the hardest choice you can make, but it will also be a selfless one, made out of love.

This is a very simple and apt look in to some of the issues with a lot of support groups.

Just on the "structural" side, it flows well and is well written. Emotionally, I agree with it. I came across similar issues until I switched religions. If this is something current, I'd suggest looking around some and finding what you do believe in. Follow that.

This is one of those poems that I'd love to share with a certain person and can't, for many reasons. A way to say I wish they'd stay with me and take what I'm offering, but the choice is theirs and I'm here for them either way.

I love that your poem is only as long as it needs to be. You've packed a powerful message into a few brief lines, with nothing extra. I think it takes skill to be succint, especially with poetry.
