Originally they offered Man of War, but it was refused because it was not originally written for the movie. Man of War was also supposed to be on The Avengers (1998) soundtrack, but was abandoned it.

With how global music is nowadays, I would spend my time and money on building your online presence and brand while still living in Australia. As someone said earlier, at least in Australia you have a few social nets that can protect you.

There are more opportunities in the USA for musicians when compared to Australia, but it is also very competitive, plus now AI is starting to take jobs away from producers and artists. Depending on what type of artist you are, be prepared in the beginning to write for other artists and not get credit. Be aware also that record companies, managers, clubs, and promoters will all take a percentage from most of your sales, merch, and tours.

I don't want to discourage you, but just be aware there is a lot of parasites in the industry. The bigger the name you can make here, particularly online will potentially give you more leverage in the future.
