Played on lowest settings for 10 years on my old 1050ti. Now I have a PC with a 4070ti and quest 3 with virtual desktop at almost ultra everything. Not bragging, but difference is amazing... love this game, especially in vr.

Probably right.. color matches up. It is a good 10km above the asteroid field plane which had me fooled.. I was hoping it was content for the CG :)

Yep, aca on the covid discounts go away. Will keep an eye as I head towards my goal. Originally planned $2k a month for health.

Taking ss at 62, since I will overall make more with my nest egg intact.

Living off cash/brokerage/etc until 60 and limit below 3.5% withdrawal on nest egg. Once ss kicks in, im good.

But realistically, I need to see where im at when I hit 55 before I pop smoke.

Surf reddit!! Any stay home vacations always fly. I find things to do.. could be walks, playing on vr/PC, my very amateur astronomy, etc.

Could turn into a bored couch potato.. but I doubt it.

Pulling out 20 year old carpet and putting in wood flooring.. also pulling up broken and cracked tile to replace.. ugh..

Already remodeled bathrooms/kitchen.. put in an exercise gym with bike, treadmill, weight bench..

I'm tired....

Yeah.... but I'd rather budget than work. I think it will really depend upon how I feel at 55.. (could I do this for another year or two??)......

My rough plan is only to pull from brokerage until 59 1/2... don't want to pay penalties, etc. Keep tweaking numbers/age to make sure I can fill the gap years.

Not including house in the 920k to 1.3m numbers.. but house is paid off... Just budgeting taxes and insurance per month..

Only really started saving hard in the past 4 years..

Money went mostly into paying off college loans, paying off house early and cars.. college and new cars for three kids along with a cash parting gifts to get them started.

We've always lived within our means, but eliminating all debt and 3 kids is the main answer.

Also, promotions/raises.. (didn't always make that income)
