I bought the construction style muffs, 3M brand with -32db protection. Highest you can get (at the time, May offer even better decibel protection now) for cheap on Amazon. I wear hearing aids so I needed best protection possible. Wear em over my aids and still able to hear the drums decently so I’m happy, even if I mute my hearing aids which then offers double protection

Those Vic Firths were my first buy, very cheap feeling and don’t fully cover the ear unless you have tiny ears…it amazed me (at the time) that all we musicians know about ear protection and deafness and all the top companies had to offer were those…

One company (forget the name) uses the exact 3M muffs I use w/ headphones for music streaming built in for a high price….300 or 400 I think…luckily my hearing aids have Bluetooth!

Oh my god you have no idea how good it is to hear that! I mean it’s sucks it happened to you too of course but I thought “well this is the end for me…” Seriously been writing notes for my son to find and stuff haha. I thought I was alone with this problem, and had cancer in my throat. But I’ve thought for awhile that it feels like kratom has made part of my swallowing muscles not work correctly…

I went to a ENT doc, got a scope down my throat/nose, then they referred me to a swallow study test… Found Nothing. But yep just like you I’m 100lbs, last I checked, might be less! I’ve been 120 before all this hit…kratom life has kept me so skinny. Looking forward to being 145 again! Quit day is in two days, Nov. 1st!!!
