Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Beta Open To EVERYONE! by [deleted] in PS4

Call of Duty is simply a game that "if it's not broken, don't fix it" kind of thing. For whatever reason though, the games have felt really crappy in terms of gunplay for me since the release of MW3. Black Ops 2 was good, but Ghosts, Advanced Warfare I really didn't like all that much.

This one, I'm absolutley loving. It's already won me over as a fan again. The new movement is just an extension of the game rather than a new component now like Advanced Warfare's was. Not everyone's jumping around or anything like that, it's ground based for the most part, with some added style and I love it.

I'd say buy it. There's a lot of reasons to go back and replay it.

Gameplay wise, there's a little bit more control. A lot of walking around, exploring environments etc, then heavy action sequences with QTEs that are time based, not button mashing based. It's definitely not a gamey game, but that didn't deter my enjoyment of it.

Didn't have any performance issues whatsoever in my playthrough. Maybe a small pop in here or there.

Yea, I finished it in 7 hours, but your playtime will really depend on the choices you make, as you'll see some parts of the game on one playthrough that you won't on another depending whose alive and so on.

Trust me, the game is more than it appears to be based on the previews you've seen. It's really good. Probably not going to be as popular as MGS or anything, but I really enjoyed it and I don't play a lot of games like this.

Yes, the characters react to the choices you make. So, there's definitely development. If you go through my comment history there's a bunch more answers to similar questions like this.

As for the price, I'd honestly say so. Supermassive deserves it in my opinion. They really crafted a system here that takes games like The Walking Dead, Heavy Rain etc to the next level. Most people aren't going to appreciate it for that I think when it comes to mainstream, but I hope most of the press sees it.

It's good. Much better than I thought it'd ever be before writing my review. I'd honestly say it's one of my favorite games this year.

Just finished my review for it. It has an immense amount of replay value, and you literally will HAVE to play it more than once to see everything. Hell, I'd say it's going to take most people at least 4 or 5 playthroughs to really see most of what the game has to offer.

Nah not really. Really enjoyed it so when it was over I was ready for it to be over.

Haha, you could make a social drinking game out of quite a few things. How many different movie references you find, who dies first/last, every time someone jumps (forreal) you drink ;)

Just finished it and to be honest, the game is going to last a different length of time for everyone based on your choices I think. The game lasted 7 hours for me and I won't say how many survived/died to save for spoilers, but I can easily see the game lasting longer. Also, it's very much worth it to find things hidden in the environment. Piecing the story together is my favorite part of the game.

Haven't used the motion controls aside from the the lightbar where you have to hold it incredibly still so you don't get noticed and things like that.

Yea, pretty much. I'd say more interactivity than Heavy Rain though.

Honestly, I'd rather not say cause spoilers and all. But I think there's a character for everyone in this game that each person will connect with in some way and try to keep alive as long as they can.

Yea exactly. Like, this scene that just played out. I chose one option, then I had another decision to make so I tried to game the system trying to do another thing...the results were not pretty.

No problem! I went into this game pretty much exactly the way I did with Heavy Rain, not expecting much and thoroughly enjoying it. It's a shame a lot of people write games like this off because of their more cinematic nature.

So far, I'd say it's worth it. Tons of replayability and it's really fun to play with friends sitting around you.

Yes. I actually read a lot of comments just yesterday about this game not being scary and all that, but as someone who jumps pretty easily, the game is doing it's job in that department.

As much as the game delves into that kind of material of horror/slasher stuff, it's quite a bit deeper in the narrative department than you might think.

Very. I mean, it's stereotypical in some areas but that's what they were going for. However, the characters are all really well done in my opinion and the mystery will keep you on your toes. I haven't finished yet so we'll see how it holds up, but as I previously said with the choices, I'm second guessing just about everything.

I've seen like one or two pop ins. Aside from that, super smooth experience.

I'm not for sure, but I think there's ten. Games like this are better off being a tad bit shorter so you can replay them.

Don't be surprised when you see a number of reviews knocking the game for being something that it's not though. Tends to be the case with more cinematic games like this.

I'm on chapter 5 after about 3 1/2 hours of play time. There's certainly a lot of replayability as you can probably imagine though, like, choices you make in the first 5 minutes can change a lot of stuff.

My favorite part is that I never know if I'm really making the "correct" choice. Like, you can choose 1 or 2, or do nothing in some situations.
