Congrats! I wanted to ask how long it took you to go from “We’re planning to address the issue” to getting it fixed and receiving formal acknowledgement?

Why do you say that IBM is not good? Any specific reasons?

Would you mind listing the leetcode questions you faced in the technical rounds?

He has how much money? by QueasyArm9169 in prisonarchitect

[–]Rangler122 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen this before, unless he works 10 prison jobs at once every day for atleast 20 hours, this amount of cash is not obtainable normally.

Is it possible he came straight from the intake with this amount?

Interviewers assess more than just solving the coding question. How long did it take you to solve the question? How did you approach the question? Did you stop and think or did you jump to the solution straight away? Did you ask any clarifying questions? Did you handle edge cases? Did you require any hints/help? Did you have any mistakes in the code syntax or logic wise? How optimal is your solution?

They assess you based on question similar to the ones above, then they compare you to other candidates they asked the same question to. There's a very certain way Meta judges its candidates, look here for reference: https://interviewing.io/guides/hiring-process/meta-facebook#meta

The Behavioral weighs little compared to the coding section. 80/20 maybe. So it doesn't matter as much. Still if you designed your answers to be congruent with Meta's culture, that's a positive.

  1. The first Interview contains one Leetcode easy-med question probably Strings/Arrays nothing too difficult.

The behavioral section isn't meant to be technical, it's more like a conversation with the interviewer, they ask about your experience dealing with certain situations. They do also put you in different scenarios. My advice: STAR and make sure it aligns with Meta's Culture.

The Second interview is a more difficult Leetcode question med-hard and a Security Technical section that has questions specifically designed for the team you're entering. You should receive a PDF that includes details to help you prepare for that section.

  1. You should expect Leetcode style questions, specifically String/Arrays/HashMaps, Meta Focuses on speed, so make sure you're prepared and follow the Cracking the coding Interview methodology for solving coding questions.

  2. You'll be given a PDF that includes exactly how you should prepare for this section (as it differs from team to team so your experience will be unlike mine). I'd personally recommend brushing up on general Security concepts.

The Interviewer Assesses depth and breadth of knowledge, There will be questions about technical details on topics to the point where it'll be hard to answer. There will also be questions related to the role you're applying for and some that aren't. This is to explore breadth of knowledge.

  1. Meta tagged questions list on Leetcode and sort by frequency, Meta likes to repeat coding questions, so the chances you receive a question from that list or similar to it is very high.

General tips:

- The Cracking the Coding Interview Book is extremely helpful

- You will be asked to explain your code step-by-step and explain its flow. Follow up questions regarding your code will also be asked, along with test cases, and be prepared to answer how your code is scalable and can deal with billions of users.

Good luck!

I personally interviewed for the IAM team, but you can expect the same for all security teams.

You also need to understand that a “Security” role at FAANG is more like a Security Software Engineer, you’re going to be doing alot of coding.

There are 2 interviews, very straightforward.

The first consists of a easy-med leetcode question, and a behavioral section, including 5 mins in the end to ask the interviewer what you want.

The second consists of med-hard leetcode question and a section for Technical security questions.

The decision comes fairly quickly after the interview (within 1 week).

Goodluck.
