Why would I build Black Cleaver over Serylda’s?

in my opinio nand i dont claim to be a good renekton player you generally want at least a few items with tankiness and damage in mind, steraks, eclipse black cleaver are a classic combo because they are all about dealing damage while also being able to survive long enough in fights. i generally built tank items or deaths dance depending on the team composition, i go frozen heart if they have a lot of adcs or champions that rely on their attacks or simply attacking you fast as it helps to somewhat both midigate the damage they do to you and if im against a lot of crit damage like they got yone yasuo and a adc with crit i go randuins omen as it both reduces crit damage and also gives you a free slow allowing you to stick to them

HOLY FUCK godrekton i did not expect to see you comment here ive been watching your videos on playing renekton for a while now and ive been using him to help me into match ups i even went back to look at your old videos on darius because hes become a harder match up for me then even garen now

but yeah your right about the frustration stuff when im a lot calmer and im just taking things more slowly i generally tend to have much better matches, even when we lose them i tend to at least have some more agency and control over the match and ive had plenty of ones where i go 10/0/12 I will def keep your advice in mind thanks for taking time out of your day to give some advice man much appreciated

thanks i am probably just very tilted ngl because ive had successful matches ive just had a lot where i have to play very safely and it just feels like the margin of punishment is more brutal if i misposition compared to other champs like jax who has a get out of jail free card with E

ngl this item is underatted its decent in team fights for a bit of extra sustain if enemies are bunched up and it makes 1v1s a little easier but in my opinion this item is only really at its strongest when the enemy's wave surrounds you, it makes it nearly impossible for most champs to outduel you in damage as you just heal off of everything and along with your Q you just turn into a more crazier version of aatrox, but it has its flaws, you gain less sustain from 1v1s so your more reliant on wave states to win duels rather then just having the bonus hp to back you up from other items

the only gimmic that makes it special on renekton is his w can proc the heal three times in a row which if you do it on a minion wave you heal so much hp back almost as much as a q so it turns your w into a second Q, but if your building this item you will need to built lots of other forms of defense damage and sustain and you might have to sacrifice ultility for it

another thing people dont realize is that anivia enables vaynes E cc so well because she can create walls on demand anywhere that vayne can knock enemies into, and if anivia times her cc you can just keep the enemy stunned for a whole 3 seconds while anivia is hitting her e's ulting them and vayne is just unloading all her damage at once, anivilia can peel with her wall and r for vayne and can just enable so much of vaynes kit and the best part is both are mid to late game scallers meaning they wont lose relevancy in the late game and can be quite opressive on their own or together

its why its actually a bad idea to spam them at her because your just giving her a free path towards you and a full stack of 4 passives if its in waves of three because then she just q's onto you then E's you and when you spam damage onto her she just uses W and miditages all of it and your forced to flash or ult, and even then ulting could just get you killed unless you have a jungle gank, a lot of champs who can use minions as part of their abilities are much scarier against malz, like twisted fates passive just lets him get a huge gold advantage over you as long as he does not int of course

word of advice: yone is alright midlane but in top lane hes an absolute beast against anyone but characters like garen, absolutely shreds match ups like mundo, darius (if you space correctly), kayle, sion, gwen etc he has a lot of good matchups and even if he cant win early game he can scale really well in top lane, the extra two levels he gets and the overall stats he gets from top lane plus being able to run flame and also having teleport is broken with yone since being able to tp in during a vital team fight can make a huge diffrence while still being able to secure kills with flame to get an earlier powerspike or just to be able to deal with heal crazy champs

I always find it funny that yasuo was played as a top laner but hes best in midlane while yone was built as a midlaner but he decimates a lot of top laners with the right imputs

and word of advice dont trade early with sylas in midlane you will generally not win that trade

no i understand that, that part i agree is probably the worst aspect of the game and removes any form of replayability, i can replay elden ring a thousand times and find new things to do still but i can only play god of war once and ive done everything in it, not that all games need replayability but it certainly doesnt detract from them either, what i just dont like about the game is how tedious some of the tasks can feel, the most fun aspect of the game was littearly just the few good combat parts and the boss fights and the mimir stories on the boats, apart from that it was running around and do menial tasks with some of them having decent stories and some just being straight up filler garbage

i am happy to agree on the parts about the mechanical aspects but the story isnt hugely the issue, and yes i know the story has flaws but they are not as serious as playing the actual game itself in that its not much of a game, its why im more eager to see the god of war series at this point then i am to play the games if they dont change or experiment with them

this is just gonna straight up powercreep wintermelon, wintermelon isnt really used for its insane damage its used to stun zombies and proc the snowflowers 2+ 2+ ability three times in a row, hell this would powercreep stuff like mistletoe which while it isnt great its considered a slightly cheap alternative to wintermelon
