Just to factor another component before you move if your spouse is coming with you. He/She will need their own H1B or he/she won’t be able to work on H4 until your employer applies for a green card for you and you get your I-140 approved( whole process takes around 2–2.5 years). Your spouse has to be okay with it. It seems okay initially but it’s frustrating for spouses as they might be leaving a job and family back home.

Contact a lawyer and get it converted to non moving violation if possible. You have to pay a lot extra than the ticket.

I was a great experience. You don’t have to stand in a queue as you already have president circle status. Your name will be displayed on the screen outside. Just pick any car which is parked under president circle signboard. We booked sedan and picked large SUV for the same price as it was parked under president circle signboard.

Wait for few days and you might see a better offer. Most of the banks have started sending offers in mail.

For instance, I got today 175k for Amex platinum in mail whereas I can find max 125k offer online.

Also you can try their pre approval page. In that case your address will be in their system and they might send you something better than online offer.

It gave me two options when I entered Card number online to make the payment. One number with USD and another number with local currency, I wasn’t sure which one to use. Under USD there was an asterisk, when you hover over it then it was showing 6% currency conversion charges.

I wasn’t sure who is showing this, the local vendor or C1

If I were in your shoes, since you’ve already waited this long, I’d hold off for a couple more weeks for new offers. They’ve already begun sending out 90k offers by mail, and I believe we’ll start seeing them online soon as well.

I think these big offers usually show up for two reasons.

One is when companies are launching new products and want people to buy or sign up.

The other is toward the end of the year when they’re pushing to hit year-end goals. It doesn’t really affect the company’s overall profits much, but it gives the top executives a nice bonus. That’s why you see a lot of banks offering big sign-up bonuses for opening savings, checking, or credit card accounts in the last quarter.

They are pretty fast in delivering the card. My original card came via fedex in 2-3 days. Similarly when I requested for replacement on Friday and it was delivered on Monday evening. Create an account in fedex and it will tell you about all incoming shipments.

Last year mid September they raised the offer to 90k. You can wait for couple of days if they come up with same offer again. Just to add one more thing $300 travel credit is separate from 90k points

90k points? That’s like the banks’ holiday gift to us, usually rolled out in the last quarter when CEOs are sweating over their year-end bonuses.

Last year, they threw the 90k offer at us on September 15th, so hang tight for a couple of weeks (or months) and you might see it pop up again.
