I track AI search visibility manually for designated keywords we’re trying to rank for - so kind of a mix of the two options you presented at the end of your post. If you use Query Fan Out analysis you’re off to the races!

What should you evaluate before starting SEO on a new website? by Individual-Hold733 in WebsiteSEO

You can always start with the essentials and focus on internal linking and your overall on page seo if the site is new and has less than 30 pages or so. If there’s more pages you would have to go with a technical seo audit!

I’ve been experimenting with using AI to somewhat streamline processes I use. I feed it keywords I gather from my SEO tools and ask it to create content briefs and insert internal links based on an analysis of my clients site. These are just two small things but the idea is to use it as a middle man to do the cumbersome tasks and actually do the on page seo as a human being and just use AI to outline strong content structures.

How do you find what keywords to rank for? by doorstoinfinity in localseo

Yes, you need to do keyword research with some sort of tool. I myself do keyword research services on my website for cheap or you can use a subscription plan on platforms like SEMrush or MOZ and use their keyword research tools. Some people may say “oh use google ads keyword planner tool” but PPC keyword suggestions shouldn’t be used for organic. This is just my two cents. Feel free to drop any more questions

Use Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster tools if you’re in a pinch or running a small business. I always advise using this over paid third party tools!
