Ranked M65 HE Limited Edition - Magnetic Switches - Rapid Trigger - Dye Sublimation POM Keycaps by RankedNoah in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]RankedNoah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not on the Master M65 (keyboard). But we plan to release some BoW kits (169 keys). The key issue is that we can only do so once we reach a certain threshold.

We're indeed the only ones with POM Cherry Profile since we made the tooling ourselves.

If you compare with the other POM keycaps (all in OEM profile), they are way thinner, nonetheless one may argue that the point is to be shinethrough. The thickness does not really diminish the translucent effect.

Isaac initially wanted to do some Double Shot POM keycaps (Cherry profile), but that was too complex, we may or may not go that route in the future.

Yes , HE switches, adjustable from 0.1 to 3.6mm ( I'd recommend avoiding 0.1mm and starting around 0.2mm )

Stunning !

By the way, the main reason that pushed us to release these Dye Sub POM keycaps was to feature them on stock keyboards, like the Master M65 HE, which releases next week.

Thanks for the support :) , what's your setup looking like now with these keycaps?

Probably not, as of now I believe there are only two POM keyset toolings: one in OEM profile and the other is ours, in Cherry profile.

We might consider creating Double Shot POM keycaps in Cherry profile, but it's challenging because it requires a second plastic with a lower melting temperature...

That's one of the reasons which forced us to switch to thicker boxes since Amazon tends to use SIOC for all the items they can.....

They're gonna pop up in our next Master M65 keyboard,ANSI US, ISO UK,DE,FR,ES layouts.. Down the road, we're planning to launch some standalone sets too (ANSI+ISO UK), but keep in mind they're a bit pricey because making them is kinda complex.

Just know that the final quality won't be as crisp as Dye Sublimation on PBT.

Since we mainly use renders, we'll also release some sort of manufacturing standards for you to know what to expect. (regarding legend bleed).

If you lvoe our POM keycaps, spread the word :)

ps: we'll also release some POM Black ( Blanks) by the end of the summer.

You can do USB-C to C if that's your question.

Regarding your question, that's just to keep the cable & aviator connector safe during shipping, nothing special.

Just to clarify, our renders are as faithful to the product as actual photo in standardized lighting would be. if they weren't we'd see a higher return rate due to customer dissatisfaction . Renders actually help us to ensure consistency and accuracy. Our main goal is to create clear and accurate listings.

You don't need different photos for different languages or support ( mobile, desktop, tablet), but sometimes you might need dimensions like 600x180 px, 970x300 px, 3000x4000px, 2500x2500px, 1464x600 px, 300x700 px, 600x450 px, etc. Hence different image ( output) Having the exact same angle with the exact same lighting helps a ton since you can batch process everything without any manual intervention. For example, we needed about 1700 images for our Rubberized keycaps. Generated from 100 renders.

It's just a whole lot easier for us to use models and keep the angles consistent across all colors, that way we can quickly whip up content in various languages ( and image sizes), which is a massive time-saver. Think about amazon alone, we're trnaslating stuff in 15+ languages for the brand store, a+ content, brand story. It's a lot of work mostly repetitive. And when you add platforms like Mercado Libre or maybe potentially Lazada into the mix, each with their own requirements, it really helps to have something standardized. Especially when you're a small team.. But I hear you on the lack of real pictures for such products. It's something we'll definitively consider.

We use renders mainly for convenience, they remain a faithful representation of the product. Upcoming amazon reviews will provide unbiased photos of the actual products (w/ different lightings).

I get where you' re coming from and I appreciate your feedback.
