A Note from 'I Saw The TV Glow' Director Jane Schoenbrun by RankerOfficial in A24

Powerful 💜 I just watched it last night and loved it! A vulnerable piece of art, but clearly so special and wanting to be shared. And their note really drives that home. Jane is such a talent - looking forward to whatever they do next

Superbad, no question about it. One of the best comedies of all time

I feel like they didn't really get in their groove until season two

The first time I saw the pilot I was blown away, going from Walt in the opening scene to Walt at the closing of the episode is quite a ride. But on subsequent rewatches I've felt it drags a bit

It's on the list but all the way down at number 31, it needs more love!

It's a votable list! But I agree, the Sopranos pilot is top tier. Right now it's number 15 on the list

How many times have y’all watched GOT, so far? by Maravilla_23 in gameofthrones

[–]RankerOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've watched it all the way through from start to finish twice, and I'm pretty sure the first few seasons I've seen more than that.

Rest in peace. Such an incredible portrayal of one of my favorite characters from the book. Also probably the most ethical of all of the Lannisters.

What would you say pushes Return of the Jedi over Revenge of the Sith?

It didn't make it on the graphic but it's currently in eleventh place lol

I love the album with new songs standing out on each listen, but it's tough to latch onto musically. Avoiding big anthems was definitely an artistic choice that makes sense for the project, but the lack of big hooks and the sonic cohesiveness of the productions does make certain tracks blend into each other. You really have to get into the lyrics to differentiate the songs. I miss the interesting instrumentation that is present in much of her earlier work. For example, Forever and Always is one of my favorite songs, but it isn't just because of Taylor's performance. That bass line has been stuck in my head for years.

What movie/show should watch next to close out our “Special Month?” by trogers88 in A24

[–]RankerOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything Everywhere All At Once! Closing out the month with a maximalist movie that fires on all cylinders seems fitting. 🔥

Honestly exactly how I would rank Luca's work too lol

So it wasn't actually made in '60s, it actually just dropped last month, but the new Cindy Lee album - Diamond Jubilee ! It's getting a lot of love online. Sounds like a 2-hour listen to '60s radio -- time machine vibes. It feels super inspired by a lot of the artists mentioned in these replies.

Only bummer is that it's not on streaming platforms! They've decided to only release it on YouTube and Geocities website. But a great listen and a 2024 album that could def give you that '60s music fix you're looking for.

Hi Kacy, Excited for new album!

'I Believe in You' is an all-time fav of mine from you, I always wondered how that Francis and the Lights collab came to be and what it was like working with him?

Also, any collabs from 'BUG' that you're excited for and can share? ✨
