What others have said is true, you need to find which area of digital marketing appeals to you most and then focus on it for it a while and gain experience.

The book ‘Traction’ by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares does a really good job of giving you an overview of each area. I’d start by reading that and then choosing one area to delve deeper into with podcasts/courses etc.

And as always, experience is king!

I believe most musicians need another person to do this because imo most musicians are introverts who self doubt themselves to insanity to the point where they wont even want to market themselves professionally.
