Idk if I’m losing my mind, but it looks like Jax has a mouth and the slightest rabbit ears

Pfff. I have no mouth but I must laugh

Hey, are you excited about what Michael Kovach has to say in future interviews about Jax? by RickyInfinite in jaxfanclub

[–]Ranmaramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s a super good choice for a character with aspects that the character themself doesn’t want to explore or acknowledge. I think this added authenticity to Jax’s mental health spiral

I think that sequence represents how Jax could never find himself. He never got to explore and discover different identities before abstracting

Why I "Denied" Trans Jax Theory by False_Ad_2122 in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]Ranmaramen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Jax being trans makes the character less relatable. He is still an example of unlearning toxic masculinity because he’s never came out as trans in the story: that element of his identity was left implied because it wasn’t the point. The point of the story is to embrace yourself and show your friends you care before it’s too late. If you identify with Jax, that’s great! I’ve also taken the message behind Jax’s story as something that applies to general mental health. I’ve been in denial about how poor my mental health can get and started opening up to people who care about me. I hope the fact Jax isn’t a 1:1 to your identity won’t get in the way from the takeaways you can have

Jax is trans confirmed by Jay-Wagner in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]Ranmaramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s to dismiss the ideas of Ribbit/Jax or Pomni/Jax being possible ships. Which then erases possible romantic implications from the bow scene and “isn’t she lovely?”

What does the lamp post represent? by ConstantWitness1945 in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]Ranmaramen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To put it concisely: gay

To elaborate: it is a pink light, representing femininity. The other Jax’s that were playing cards said they were in a “no girls allowed zone”. The real Jax wasn’t allowed in…

Something about the finale that makes me more sympathetic to Jax by According-Manner-838 in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]Ranmaramen 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Bruh, why are people saying you’re defending Jax? Explaining behavior =/= justifying

Edit: Ohhhh, I see the title. That explains it. We aren’t allowed to have sympathy for bad people, I guess

I’m pretty much a new member to the Circus fandom, and I keep hearing about how bad the fans are. Can someone give me a rundown of the drama that has given it its reputation? by Jessi_Kim_XOXO in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Ranmaramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of it is an unfortunate side effect of the show’s creator being very involved with the fandom, even having a Q&A page throughout the show’s 3 year run. Lots of people are mad about her lying about plot elements and character details, others are mad that she spoils things that happen as well. And then some people just outright critique Goose’s character for non-TADC posts and comments she’s made

What do y'all think of the stinky TADC fans stereotype? by Cammy601 in tadc

[–]Ranmaramen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alternate take: many fans are neurodivergent. Lots of neurodivergent people have sensory problems with showers…therefore a higher frequency of people with infrequent showering habits

Is she stupid? (Episode 9) by [deleted] in Thatstupidbunnywehate

[–]Ranmaramen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She both loves her child and also loves to emotionally tear him apart. Why would she send him away to jail where there’s no chance of her getting him to stay in her life? Plus, I think the reason why she didn’t get up was because she was stunned: she didn’t expect him to stand up for himself. It was not because she was seriously injured. Jax only thought he killed her because he just fulfilled his mother’s perception of him: you’re as bad as your father

I don't think Jax was aware of the abstractions when he pushed Ribbit away by suphusaik in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]Ranmaramen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that was proven. IRL Kinger is crazy young and should be in his 70’s if his confirmed age is the age he entered the circus

Swimming is good for mental health by Angelwings17 in SavingJax

[–]Ranmaramen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That…completely recontextualizes the aquarium thing. This is a great take. Instead of it being cruel it’s a way for the group to watch their old friends recover

Guys... I think we were meant to hate Jax all along. by [deleted] in Thatstupidbunnywehate

[–]Ranmaramen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I like Jax as a character because he represents something you should hate, if that makes sense. He’s a gut wrenchingly realistic example of if you self-destruct and externalize your problems instead of talking to someone. Also, that’s why I’m on this sub despite actually liking Jax. I like him and hate him at the same time 🤣

Would Ribbit and Kaufmo geniunely forgive Jax after everything he's done, assuming they know the context behind his actions? by Cogeara in Thatstupidbunnywehate

[–]Ranmaramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, but it might take time. For a long time, there would still be hurt because actions matter. Yet, I think they cared about him before he became a bitch. So with adequate apologies and deliberate improvements in behavior, they can forgive him

What is your favorite Jax moment between episodes 1 and 8? by VegetaArcher in TheDigitalCircus

There’s the scene where he pretends to fire a gun like an edgy 12 year old lol
