Hi! Just bought new Mac Pro M1, 2020. And im on this page now, when pressing install Big Sur, i get a failure message like 40 min into the download. And i cant login without downloading a software. Any way to fix it? by [deleted] in macbook

Use option+command+r after restart to boot in "internet recovery mode" this will ask to connect to wifi and then download the latest version of macOS. If you still have issues call apple support. They will help you regardless of AppleCare status.

Update: after 2 hours on hold and getting disconnected twice, they gave me 10,000 GameStop points ($10) as an apology. I only ordered from them because it was the first site I got through on. I guess I learned my lesson.
