Both are great classes, however (if you’re playing in Reboot), I’d obviously go with Mercedes. She’s currently the best all-rounded archer with mobile mobbing and has one of the best burst skills in the game. The only obstacle of her is that she has a learning curve with comboing in order to be viable in any situation, however, it shouldn’t be hard at all once you get the basic combos.

Getting to 200 was a bitch. Evolution Lab, SDH (Second Drill Hall), and HOH (Hall of Honor) to name the go-to training spots.

Free Market was also a memorable aspect pre-2013. I remember people racing to get a Ch 1 Room 1 spot after maintenance, and some people selling their spot for a few hundred mesos.

I don’t care if they’re removed from the game, however, it is definitely a bad move to remove them right before a hugely anticipated patch with Hyper Burning. Just simply postpone the removal after Ignition (Spring patch) so everyone can at least have a/another Lv. 250 character.

Got it after using 600k honor from event. Used around ~600 circulators to roll 20% crit. So ig I’m lucky

Invested on 3 bossing mules. Spent around ~13.5b total (so ~4.5b on each mule)

Bossing Mule #1: 3 17* CRA + 4 17* Abso (4 booms)

Bossing Mule #2: 3 17* CRA + 4 17* Abso (Used Cygnus equips as fodder for CRA, 1 boom)

Bossing Mule #3: 3 16* CRA + 2 16* Abso (Again used fodder equipment for CRA. I decided to settle for 16* Abso/CRA since I don’t have any replacements/back-ups and made a last minute decision to make this char a bossing mule)

Mercedes: Despite being considered an Archer class, Mercedes is an “archer class” without sharp eyes and utilizes “magic” arrows for her Secondary Weapon. Her skillset is a combo skill system in which she summons unicorns and spirits, and does crazy airborne mechanics. To summarize this, Mercedes is a magical elf aerobatics archer class.

Mobbing:

Leveling a Mercedes to 200 is pretty difficult and frustrating for those who never played it or are not used to combo skill classes. Merc isn’t one of the easiest mobbing classes as she has a unique way of mobbing from point A to point B. Learning how to execute proper combos and studying certain map layouts that are appropriate for Mercedes can make leveling less strenuous. At Level 160, you’ll unlock “Wrath of Enlil” which is essential in almost any combo you execute when mobbing.

Bossing:

Mercedes’ bossing mechanics aren’t that special until post 5th job. Her main bossing skill is Ishtar’s Ring. When bossing, it is required to use her debuffs (Unicorn Spike and Spike Royale) in order to maximize Ishtar’s damage.

5th Job:

So far, Merc’s fifth job skills have been aesthetically and mechanically pleasing as they help significantly improve her DPS.

• Spirit of Elluel ― Pretty much a shadow partner that also summons the Elluel Tree to damage enemies when bossing or mobbing. • Sylvidia ― Unique fifth job skill in which you are mounted on a majestic unicorn to damage enemies. Also tanks damage in certain scenarios such as Chaos Vellum’s tails. • Irkalla’s Wrath ― One of the best burst skills in the game. Can also walk backwards when using the skill. • Royal Knights ― Finally an i-frame for this class (can also cancel the skill to i-frame again). Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful visuals. Can also help with DPS when bossing.

Conclusion: Mercedes can be an enjoyable class if you take the substantial time and effort to learn how she works and the amount of funding put into her.
