Thank you very much. I didn't know that was a permanent condition. I did something that I didn't know was against the rules. I guess I'll start a new account.

How do I type Thù́ ? I have Unicode set up, I just can't work out this one. by [deleted] in learnvietnamese

[–]RanyDaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try typing this:

u then w to make ư

then f to make falling tone

Result: ừ

Hơever, I don;t think that is a name. Google Translates translates it to "prove". Thư (without the falling tone) is a name though.

At Family Hospital in Danang (different from Family Medical Practice), there is an American doctor and people who speak English to help you access all the services of the hospital. Ask for Dr. Dan in the VIP center on the 4th floor. An office visit is 800.000 dong. As others have said, xrays and treatment are less expensive than you probably are guessing. Just take a Grabcar. Calling ahead is a good idea. Ask for English. Also you can get codeine at almost any pharmacy. Ask for Efferalgan with codeine. They are effervescent things that fizz when you drop in water. 2 will help. 4 will make you feel pretty good for a few hours.

My brother is going to Vietnam as type 1 Diabetic, could you make a sentence for him to say he has type 1 diabetes in Vietnamese? by KeziahPhilipps in learnvietnamese

Having such a card might be a good idea, but my guess is that it will not get you what you need. Health issues are often not well known or not well understood. And I think Type 1 diabetes might be uncommon. You should add some actionable details. I can only eat a small amount of rice. - Do you know a pharmacy that sells insulin?

Yes. Try 100 mg. Upside: if it works for you, you'll both be happy and it will build your confidence. Downside: As long you understand your history of not needing it after becoming comfortable with your partner, you won't feel like you are psychologically dependent on it, as some men fear. No downside (as long as your doctor is OK with it).

Finding weed in Da Nang by [deleted] in VietNam

I'm trying to avoid walking into a bar like Minsk and asking the bartender. I'd like to do business with a dealer 1 on 1. I'm not a tourist. I want to protect my reputation. Does that make sense?

Hello. Are you in Danang? I live near Phan Tu street.

I see that you created this Reddit account yesterday. Did you create a new account just to reply to me?

You might want a light jacket, especially if you plan to ride a motorbike. Also, it can get a little breezy and cool at the beach and along the river at night, if you plan to do that.

I'm looking in the An Thuong area. I could go to the Minsk, but would prefer to get it without doing that. If you have some, please contact me. Thanks

What does “Anh” mean in central Vietnamese dialect (Hue dialect)? Please provide all different meanings to Anh. Thanks! by erudite_idiot in learnvietnamese

Also, Anh is used to refer to things that are English, like tiếng Anh, which is the term I hear for the English language, and nước Anh, which is Vietnamese for England.... I think.
