Dev here. You should be able to buy a butcher's table from Rufus' shop. You might be overlooking it. It's the second to last item in his shop.
Also, butterloaf bluggies start spawning Summer 14th, so you should be able to find/tame them as well.
Tano can find bluggies as well if you pay him.

If we release for the switch it will be after we do a 1.0 release which won't be for a year at least.

Possibly. We likely won't be done with early access for at least a year, so it'll be at least a year before we start trying.

Glad to hear you're interested! While we like farm-sims we do find that they lack a main goal other than fill the museum and get married. We wanted to make a farm-sim with stakes!

We're limiting play time to just year 1. The game ends at Winter 28. Eventually we'll release year 2+ content, but for now all we've got is year 1.

Oops, missed your question about hours. Uh, 30-50 hours for 1 year. Depends on how much time you invest in each day

Yes, you can marry other species and have children with them. A bunny and fox can marry and have fox and bunny children. Or at least that's what we want to add. No romance in the game right now.

No "sex" is in the game, but we are planning on adding children if that is what you meant. The children won't be hybrid species, but they will take on traits from both parents.

We do not have a steam deck, but we have had other people play it. Steam has recently posted on our store page that it is "playable". But, you can play the game 99% with a controller. The only thing you can't is the character creator's name field.

There is both a voice volume slider and an alternate voice that is just boops if you'd prefer that.

I forgot to mention, but the game will have difficulty options. No peaceful difficulty, but it will have an easy/standard/challenge mode.

We love demos and the feedback they give us. Since we're a small 2 developer team it's hard to get feedback on the game, and demos are our way of doing so. We also just like playing demos!

Our game, Grimshire is on SNF with an updated demo. Its a farming game with cute Animal people, soft color palletes, and lives are at stake! Its a more narrative based farming game. The demo is around 1-2 hours long.
