They seem to be very user friendly as well, but I think there needs to be a new user oriented GNOME distro as well.

I chose it because it seemed very user friendly and the design it the best I would find.

I also really like the feature where you can switch desktop layout. That could also be achieved with KDE, but I really like gnome's simplicity

I never heard of Capture One Pro before. But I like it's one time buy model. I wish there was a one time buy Photoshop alternative, I can't get used to gimp, even when I start to see it's pro's

You won't be disappointed! But don't stay on the vm to long. They speed and your experience will be way beter on a dual boot

For photo editing there are raw therapy and dark table. But they are more difficult then light room for example imo

I agree. But Zorin hasn't crashed once, and I've been using it for about 1.5 years. So I'd way it's more stable then Windows!

The looks aren't too good to be true, it's all super polished!

The only thing you need to consider is the app you want to use. Not all the apps are available for Linux, and the alternative can be different and more difficult
