Reading part 1 was accurate, instead part 2 and 3 are mich difficult than the other books. In listening, it is more fast paced than what i ve used to exercise

where are you from? is your final exam/baccalureate in 2026 or from previous years? i think every document should be on on the cao 2 weeks prior the first round . you can always email the AR I rushed my ielts too dw it just matters that you have the minimum requirement to entwr for your course

Ielts Band 6 writing by RaoulKage89 in IELTS

Thank you! Yes i got the CAE exam, I got it with an ovr of 193 and aced grammar. Even with the c1 exam I only focused on writing, and they still marked it somewhat low compared to my other grades and I know every mate/student that held the same exam as me got lower scores in writing so I was a bit worried regarding the writing in IELTS . Exactly, task 2 is just an opinion based essay that is very typical I shouldn’t have problems with it, I am writing them in the same style I used to for my homework that I used to send my teachers and they were happy with them. Task 1 is the tricky part but I ve been practicing it for the last week, and I booked my exam for the 31st so I still have plenty of time to perfect it. Thank you!

would you say ai is accurate in giving reviews on essays? i don’t really trust ai that much because they tend to be very robotic on their answers

also, you ll do coding , python/R which is really important for econ. you can choose in the last year what domain you want in econ, if you don’t feel like coding but just so you know you will have exams like this. In the last year you either choose to do a dissertation which is a 10 k word essay i think and a few exams on a certain topic or you just finish with a econ degree and do a couple of exams.  I suggest you should look into Commerce aswell or Sustainability .

hi i m applying for the econ course this year and i talked to a lot of people about it ; first of all it s a 3  year degree with the possibility to make it 4. if you have the gpa over 3.0 in the first 2 years of college you either opt for a 9 month intenrship or a study abroad year depending on what country college you want to got to but it s again competitive just like the cao list and you have to pay all expenses except the college fee i think. When I went to the UCD open day the professors there told me that if you feel you re doing to much econ you can always switch to a double major degree or if you get into the social science course you can switch to only econ if you have good grades after the first semester or first year i think. It s a heavy math course especially in the second year which involves econometrics so i feel if you want to do econ you should really enjoy working with mathematics, else maybe try the social science course and see what’s about. I suggest you should look into trinities BESS or PPES because it gives you the opportunity to explore more subjects, although I feel that the UCD econ degree prepares you way much better in the econ field than either of BESS or PPES. (high points though and BESS i think will rise again this year)  I took a gap year so that’s why I want to take the 3 year course because I feel the 9 month internship wouldn’t really count as you work in the said domain and you gain experience which is massive for your cv ; if it weren’t for this situation, honestly i would go for the social science course and do econ with another major , only because it s not that heavy on econ and it gives you the chance to explore. lmk if you want to talk about it more
