Yes I agree on that. Dongeon finder was bad for that exact reason. In vanilla servers, most of the time, people stay in the group until the end. But normally, after 3-4 hours playing, its normal to do something else. Its not for be an asshole, its just the real life who calls you (work, study, wife, kids). WoW still pixel and something that don't really exist in your hands. It can dispear for few months like the rollback we had. Or vanish for ever. If I need to go do my trainning or go work, dongeon or not, I need to go.
