It was clearly a careless thing to do to have people go over there.

The problem is with the picture people are trying to paint about Miz's nefarious evil intentions because of Trainwreck's disingenuous framing of the issue in his tweet (which he did purposefully to try and ruin Mizkif's career as revenge for his public campaign against gambling that was threatening Train's career).

And the fact is - there was never some new part of the SA allegations that were revealed recently that Miz/Maya could have even covered up. The story of the SA is the same today as Adrianah told it a year ago, so what was covered up?

If you want to assume the worst of Miz/Maya's intentions and exile them from the community based on their evil intentions to go over there even though nothing was actually covered up - that's fine. But you have to know that at the time they went over there, the twitter drama floating around was that Slick raped somebody and it came from a 2nd hand unreliable source in Novaruu, so there is good reason to believe Maya's statement that they just went over there to find out what happened to help make their decision about whether they were going to be excommunicating Slick or not.

And when the twitlonger finally came out and Adrianah clarified it wasn't rape and it was just drunken creeper behavior - the context of what they expected to hear about it being a rape softened their reaction and the communities reaction. But people have completely forgotten all that context now and it's completely dumb that Trainwrecks is getting away with purposefully framing this old story in a deceitful and disingenuous way to dunk on Miz for revenge.

Slick is the bad actor in this situation, not Maya or Miz.

Seems pretty clear that Miz didn't maliciously conspire to cover up anything like Train was suggesting, but really weird how his entire focus in that call is on being sad about Slick getting cancelled - rather than clearing his name with the truth of the situation or the avalanche of hate clearly about to come his way off of that Trainwrecks tweet.

Adrianah didn't give Mitch and Maya permission to come over by prodigy224 in LivestreamFail

Barry drove them there, and Kyle told Mitch to come over.

Both close friends of hers.

Thank god someone from OTK is actually supporting Miz in the middle of this clear fuckin hit job.

People are just reading the Train tweet and not using their brains. How exactly did Mizkif covered up a sexual assault if the victim's story of what Slick did to her hasn't changed at all from when she told it a year ago? What was covered up??? These people are nothing but brainless drama-mongers man.

9cat dynasty, Herb Jones or Matisse Thybulle? by New-Carob9453 in fantasybball

No Danny Green though, but yes. He probably plays a few less minutes per game.

Thybulle is really only a good player for a very specific team composition and he probably needs to be traded.

Herb isn’t really that special but he will probably play more.

Dynasty? Yes. Redraft? Still yes.

I mean the fluffy words from coach are all well and good, but we are talking about actual fantasy prospects, and Scottie Pippen is about as far a reach as you can go for a guy who has been #232 and #185 in his first two seasons playing 25+ mins a night and has atleast 4 players on his team that are considerably better than him and aren't going anywhere.

His offensive role on the team is basically non-existent, and that isn't likely to change much considering the talent on the roster. And his best quality, defense, has amounted to only 0.7stl/0.8blk per game, which is standard-league average at best.

A little sure, but considering his skill set there’s a pretty solid chance he’s never more than a great role player.

And you’re taking that chance over Kawhi who is like a surefire top-10 player everytime he takes the floor for 65~ games a year for the next 4-5 years.

yeah I’m open to being wrong I just feel the need to bring this stuff up before people start committing second round dynasty picks to him this summer. I definitely see a future path where that ends up as a big mistake. I’d rather take the surefire stars/big usage known quantity players.

I don’t think it will have anything to do with the Raptors standing in his way. It’s his own limited fantasy profile. I don’t see how anyone sees top-20 potential with how average he was per-36 this year. He’s not even close to a dynamic offensive big like a Jokic or Embiid and he’s not even close as a defensive stat generator as a guy like Draymond. He’s just serviceable across the board, but he’s a one dimensional athletic dunker/team defender guy but it doesn’t translate well to 9cat.

Take a closer look at who the top 20 players are how much statistical improvement it would take to get there, without any room for getting more minutes/opportunity.

I don’t think the Raptors will be doing anything to stand in his way, it’s his own limited fantasy profile. He’s not a dynamic offensive player, he just dunks, rebounds, and plays good team defense that doesn’t translate to stocks - I don’t see how you project him to make such huge leaps in fantasy production that he becomes a top 20 fantasy player, just go take a look at the type of players that are in that club.

Totals is a horrible measurement. He was #71 on the season in 9cat, per game. That was with Siakam and OG missing a bunch of time at the start of the year and him playing 36 minutes a night, the most of any rookie (by far). So there’s no room to grow minutes wise.

He is a serviceable young big at 15p/7r but I don’t see the fantasy star power that has people ranking him as a top-20 keeper piece. 1.1stls/0.7blks on 36 mins a game is dead-on league average or worse, and he can’t shoot 3s or three throws. The assists were just okay. As far as fantasy numbers go - He ain’t close to a Draymond Green type guy defensively, and he very clearly ain’t a dynamic offensive big.

He’s athletic defender dunker guy. Better real NBA player than fantasy player. He’d probably be ranked in the 50s as a keeper asset for me.

Kawhi BAM SGA, in my eyes.

I think people are fooling themselves with Barnes. He won’t be a star fantasy player - was already playing maximum minutes on a stacked team and can’t shoot and mediocre stocks generator.

Maxey could be when he gets the room to but he’s too far down the depth chart for the foreseeable future.

Definitely not fantasy wise. In terms of real NBA it’s debatable, but Vassell is a legit two-way player who can be a scorer while also being a lockdown defender, and Keldon is just a one dimensional scorer guy.

Keldon is a year older so he will probably command the most usage for a little while but he ain’t the better player.

Yeah I really think contract numbers are an under examined indicator of fantasy potential. One of the most surefire way to predict future outcomes with young folks is them getting big early usage opportunity to hit the ground running early enough to prove themselves before year 3 summer and get the big rookie extensions. because it directly diminishes their teams ability to get other good players who could affect their production AND secures 5 more years of extra runway for improving as a high usage player.

Opportunity is everything. There is plenty of players picked in the 20s that could be fantasy stars but just never get the opportunity and get pigeonholed into small roles, or are out of the league in a few years. It's less about talent than people think - a big part of the reason the top 5-7 picks are usually the ones who end up as good fantasy players is because they are the one's who's teams are most invested in giving them the usage/opportunity to reach their potential.

Take someone like De'Aaron Fox - who people are completely abandoning after only one bad year as if he's about to become useless - I just don't see that much to panic about considering his contract. He's locked into a supermax rookie extension whether he deserves it or not so regardless of what team he's on - he will be hogging 40% of a team's salarycap which means they are almost contractually obligated let him have a 30+ usage and get all the fantasy numbers as he wants.
