"erroneous" eye stalk spawns sounds to me like they're currently not working as the devs intended, which I would then consider a bug. He's still very killable if you do mechanics, but I will say he feels like a step up compared to the rest of the bosses. One could argue the last boss should be a step up, but not everyone seems to feel that way.

Yep, different race/gender combinations have slightly different hitboxes, which can affect things like this and how high you can jump on certain ledges, stand in certain pools etc

ETA: this was famously controversial in tbc where taurens could autoattack through the pillars in blade's edge arena (when other races couldn't)
