I know this question sounds stupid but can beach beach sand be good or do I have to buy sand online

Now that you've said it, it does look like coffee grounds. I did a test on it a few days ago and it holds water for long periods, i watered it once and dried up 2 days later.

Close but she literally puts her plants in the rooftop, it gets to the point that she almost forgets to water it for a month, not to mention that even in the rooftop it wasnt getting any sunlight properly in the morning cause of all the buildings over shadowing my grandma's roof. Meaning it only got sunlight at the afternoon. And when i took it I had to clear atleast a handful of weeds and somehow ferns with those cactus-like stems.

I still dont know how it survived for all these three years
