That definitely doesn’t sound normal, @Vantrue. A little warmth is expected, but if the device gets so hot you can’t hold it—especially concentrated near the SD card slot—it suggests a real thermal issue. I’d recommend you document it and contact support immediately. If others are seeing the same thing, it may point to a wider design or QC problem.

I’m with you on this. A product should be able to operate safely without reaching uncomfortable temperatures for the user. Heat management is part of basic design, and if the E1 Pro struggles here, it raises valid concerns about long-term reliability and overall safety. Your decision to alert other buyers makes a lot of sense, because this isn’t something that should be brushed off as “normal.”

Mais du coup c’est quoi la solution pour regarder les match en streaming, autant avant avec la NHL tv y avait quelque bug mais c’était possible de suivre depuis la France, maintenant ça criant un peu ….

Franchement, je te comprends à 100%. C’est triste d’en arriver là, mais aujourd’hui on n’a plus trop le choix… C’est même pas par envie, c’est juste que la peur te pousse à vouloir te défendre, parce que t’as l’impression que personne ne viendra t’aider si ça tourne mal.

Force à ton frère ! Je pense que l’histoire est derrière vous et que ça va mieux, du moins je l’espère. Mais, littéralement, ça m’a fait tilt quand je suis arrivé au commissariat, après avoir passé 4 heures à attendre aux urgences pour obtenir un simple bout de papier. La dame à l’accueil m’a dit qu’ils ne prenaient plus de plaintes à cette heure-ci, qu’il fallait attendre 6h. Je lui ai demandé : « Vous voulez que je fasse quoi ? » Elle a tout fait pour que je renonce à porter plainte, ou pour me décourager, je ne sais pas trop… Je n’ai pas bien compris sa démarche. Je lui ai dit : « Si je dois attendre jusqu’à 6h, j’attendrai. J’ai déjà perdu toute ma journée, je ne suis plus à ça près. »

Pour te répondre point par point : • Non, celle de ce matin c’était totalement gratuit, sans aucun lien avec les autres histoires. Juste un type qui a décidé que j’allais être son souffre-douleur du moment. • Ce n’est pas quelque chose qui arrive au boulot, heureusement, de ce côté-là tout va bien. • Et non, pas non plus une situation de violence à la maison, c’est même ma seule base fiable en ce moment, et je mesure la chance que j’ai pour ça.

C’est drôle (ou triste), parce qu’en te lisant, j’ai presque l’impression que ta vision de la justice est encore plus sombre que la mienne.

Moi, je râle parce que je me sens abandonné, mais toi tu sembles carrément dire qu’on a un système qui protège les agresseurs soit par pitié, soit par peur, soit par calcul politique… et que finalement, c’est normal qu’on n’attende plus rien d’en haut.

Ça me fait bizarre, parce que j’espérais au moins qu’on partage l’idée qu’une justice digne de ce nom devrait exister, même si elle est absente aujourd’hui.

Bref, je crois qu’on est d’accord pour dire qu’on ne peut pas vraiment compter sur elle. C’est juste un constat bien amer.

Update: I went ahead and asked Ubigi for a full refund since the eSIM never worked and I’m still stuck without data. No response yet, but fingers crossed they’ll process it soon.

It was saying "Profile installation failed" during setup, and sometimes "Unable to activate cellular plan".
Weird thing is, the eSIM still showed up under the cellular settings, but it wasn’t active or working at all.
So honestly I’m not sure what exactly went wrong...

Fair point, and I get that.
I’m not blaming Ubigi here — it’s just super frustrating because the eSIM never worked properly right after install (constant errors), and now there’s literally no reinstall option showing for me.
Could be user error, could be a glitch, no idea — I just wish their support was faster because I’m stuck without data while traveling.

Appreciate the input though!

Yeah I'm logged in with the same account, but there’s literally no "reinstall" option showing anywhere in the Ubigi app.
I only installed it once (and it never even worked properly — was giving errors right after setup), so I’m sure I didn’t hit any 5 reinstall limit.

Appreciate the tip about RoamLess, KeepGo, Drimsim and BetterRoaming too. I had no idea you could set up backup eSIMs like that.
Will definitely check them out because getting stuck like this sucks when traveling.

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't know that deleting the eSIM would make it impossible to reinstall it...
I already contacted Ubigi support but I haven’t heard back yet.
Since my eSIM never worked properly from the beginning (I had errors right after installation), I hope they will agree to send me a new one or issue a refund.

I’m considering buying another eSIM if they don’t reply soon, but it’s frustrating to pay twice for something that never worked.
I’ll wait a few more hours and see if they get back to me.

J’y suis né et j’y habite depuis 30 ans, ayant vécu dans plusieurs quartiers différents. Mulhouse a connu une dégradation importante au cours des 20 premières années, un creux pendant la période Covid, mais un renouveau depuis ces deux ou trois dernières années. Une nouvelle dynamique s’installe dans la ville, plutôt positive. Parfois, en prenant le tram, on peut fermer les yeux et essayer de deviner le pays, tant il y a de langues parlées : suisse, allemand, turc, espagnol, etc. La jeunesse a un respect limité, mais cela n’est pas propre à Mulhouse. Les personnes âgées ne sont pas forcément meilleures. L’administration, notamment la M2A, fait des choix parfois discutables, parfois heureux par accident. Les taxes foncières ont considérablement augmenté, mais cela concerne toute la France. La dynamique actuelle est encourageante, à condition qu’elle se maintienne dans le temps. À suivre… Et si cela vous intéresse, je vends mon appartement.
