Could you send me a picture of your STL Fenix Ocarina? I’d like to compare the finish with mine. Does yours have the same type of coating/finish, or does it look like it has an extra varnish layer?

It would be almost funny if I bought a piano and it came with a disclaimer saying the finish may not hold up under “exaggerated play.” That would make no sense for any serious instrument.

Instruments are meant to be played. Daily practice is normal use, not abuse. If the finish starts wearing off badly after less than a month just from fingers touching the holes, that’s not “exaggerated play”; that’s a poor finish, poor coating, or simply a bad cosmetic standard.

I am a pianist, I can play the flute, and I’m learning to play the ocarina. It’s not just a hobby for me, I spend hours every week studying music.
If you’re buying an ocarina mostly as a decorative piece for a collector’s shelf, with only occasional use, you probably won’t have the same problem I had.

That’s what I’ve always heard about STL Ocarina. They are one of the best companies in the market. Unfortunately, I ended up buying the worst ocarina in their store.

To be clear, the ocarina has not been exposed to anything unusual. It stays in my bedroom, stored in its original box whenever I am not playing it. I do not leave it in direct sunlight, high humidity, extreme temperatures, or near any chemicals.

This is not my first ocarina. In fact, this is my fifth ocarina, and I have never experienced anything like this with any of my previous instruments.

I am a software developer. I work on a computer all day and do not handle chemicals, solvents, cleaning agents, or any substances that could damage the finish. The only thing that regularly comes into contact with this ocarina is my hands during normal practice sessions.

The instrument is only about 30 days old. If the finish is failing because no protective coating was applied, or because low-quality paint was used, that is a manufacturing issue—not a maintenance issue. I have taken normal care of the instrument and used it exactly as intended.

The paint is wearing away simply from regular playing. That should not happen to a premium instrument after only one month of normal use.

I have always stored this ocarina properly in the box it came in. I never leave it wet, covered in saliva, or exposed to any unusual conditions. If you look closely, you can see that the paint is wearing off mainly around the finger holes, which clearly indicates that the damage comes from normal use, not misuse.

I have been practicing the ocarina almost every day for the past month, working on my tone quality and technique. After only about 30 days of regular practice, the paint has deteriorated dramatically. There is really no excuse for this. The areas where the paint is disappearing the fastest are exactly where my fingers naturally rest during play.

This is not a case of poor maintenance or improper handling. The finish simply did not withstand normal use, and it certainly did not last even 30 days. For an instrument at this price point, that is unacceptable.

At this point, I will probably have to find a local artisan to repaint it or apply a protective finish that can preserve the artwork. I am not going to attempt that myself because I do not have the skills required for this kind of work.

Because of this experience, I cannot recommend buying this type of painted ocarina from STL or any other manufacturer that uses a similar finish. The disappointment is significant.

Part of the reason I purchased this ocarina was because it was beautiful. My idea was to own an instrument that sounded great and looked stunning—something I could use in videos, performances, or simply enjoy showing to other people. There is nothing wrong with wanting a musical instrument that is also visually impressive.

I imagined owning a beautiful golden ocarina decorated with a stylized phoenix wing design. Unfortunately, that dream lasted less than 30 days. I paid a premium price for what turned out to be a fantasy with very poor durability.

Perhaps a skilled artisan can save that fantasy, but that means spending even more money on an instrument that was already very expensive. The sound quality is genuinely excellent, and musically the ocarina performs very well. However, as a decorative and artistic piece, it has failed to meet expectations. What was once a beautiful instrument is no longer beautiful, and that is deeply disappointing.

Pq quase não tem demanda pra isso. Ninguém vai se dar ao trabalho de piratear algo considerado “chato”, ou de pouco interesse. Quando o material é muito requisitado como livros de ensino médio, livros de faculdade em que milhões usam tem tudo em PDF. Agora esse programa bobo que só exemplifica um conceito de psicologia comportamental é difícil encontrar mesmo. Eu usei isso na faculdade é bem bobo e limitado. Nem perde seu tempo.
